LF F2P Game with Alot of Options.

SignoreSignore Member Posts: 127

I know rare to find, but I am looking for more or less the blunt spectrum of F2P games that are half decent but with alot of classes to chose from, probably like 14+ or so including Expansive jobs.

Too many of the F2p's are just Warrior, Mage, Archer, or like Cleric, Warrior, Archer... You get the picture, I can't stand this type of game which showcases little individuality (prob spelt wrong) to the different classes and makes the class feel very blunt.

I am currently playing my old Account on RS and obviously need to find someone fast x.x...

The game must have:

Cannot be Browser based, Tried as I have might same with Mudds, just have trouble getting into them.

Preferably Group based.

Graphics aren't a problem, 2D or 3D, Not into super old game though where the Characters are hard to get into.

Playable Casually, also meaning doesn't require 12 months of grinding to see some sort of Progress.

Rough list of Games played ( Sorry so many can't remember em.  X.x):

Requiem

Atlantica

WoW

EQ2

Grand Chase

Runescape (Meh)

RYL1-2

Ether Saga

Insane # of Random F2P games that didn't meet the bill ( But if you think one sticks out AND is good to play not massively Generic, Feel free to mention it)

If you like turned based games. Atlantica Online is insanely a great game witht ons of options and features. You should check it out.

I've tried Atlantica, didn't really like it, and honestly there isn't a ton of options besides all your mercenaries...

What I hate about Atlantica and why it is starting to fall out, The game is stacked... This or That set up wins every time, Vs what a person wants to make with a setup of mercenaries.  In other words there is poor balance and this proved to be a problem.

Even then I aint a big fan of turn based, I prefer more real time.

    Have you tried Mabinogi?

It's supposed to be skill based, so you level up the skills you want, I guess.  People keep recommending it to me, but I have to be honest, I haven't given it a fair shake yet. No classes seems a little less generic, maybe.

    Try runes of magic..

You can have a first and secondary class, theres a lot of professions, player housing, pvp, pve..

I did not play it very long, but It's probably the best f2p I've seen..

Also, almost every mmo will have classes like the mage and warrior.

Your requirements are not really realistic.

If they're not called like that they'll have something like a knight or gladiator.. Or a wizard / Spell slinger.. you come up with more names.

    Edit :

Maybe DDO would be something for you, i think they have a lot of classes.. it's going free to play?

No experience with this game myself, so this game might not meet your requirements at all.

I suggest you try Runes of Magic or Guild Wars. Guild Wars is not free exactly, you can purchase the trilogy for around $40, but there is no montly fee. Both games have huge populations and are very stable even on older machines.

I tried RoM After leaving WoW, I liked the system n stuff, but Couple things bothered me, how you have to spend obesene amount of $ to actually up your gear, the Open World PK was nearly out of control when I played, mind you I love to massacre people who dared to attack me, but ususally they were in mid 30's or 40's.

Main reason I quit RoM over everything, Felt way to much like WoW and I felt I was going to get sucked into it.

Right now I am trying a game called Angels Online *Pause for laughs*

Has a unique system with its skills a bit like Guild wars but just more like your actual Skills, this allows to make very unique hybrids that can actually work.  Right now I have made What I call a Holy Avenger or something along those lines (Swordsman in Cloth with Life Skills and Buffs)

Another feature that drew me to the game was the On-board botting system... Yes Frowned upon by many, I am not too much of a Fan of it, But It is nessicary for me to beable to juggle my Insane Academic Year for Gr.12 and also beable to play games, in this case play while I am at school =)
