    I did play in the past wow(quit after 2 years beeing bored), AOC(played for a month, quit cause of bugs etc), WAR(quit cause was boring).
    My question is, people who played the beta or the asian version, is it better than Age of Conan is now? I will either start AION in september or go back to AOC.

    Many of us have played Wo_ (censored) to the nth degree and have become bored. AOC in my opinion started and is so bad it's not worth a sub. Consider this though, if you have already bought a game ($40-$50) it's dirt cheap to hop in for a month to see if it rekindles some fun for you. And if it's new like Aion it's still pretty cheap at $50-$60 to find out. I think you can see from the forum just at this website that it is worth playing, and has many features that point to sustainability from a players point of view. Having played AOC, and 1 beta, my 2 cents to you is jump in. Another way to check Aion or any other game is to try the trials for some, like EQ, EQ2, LOTR, etc. I recently did so after I cancelled my Wo_ (censored) sub for the umpteenth time. I thought it would be cool, but alas the EQ's were incredibly dated, IMHO of course. Since those were free, I lost nothing. Theres still a month before release (unless they pull a Bliz_ (censored) on us, so go out and dig around.

    Short version to your question; yes.

    Isn't aion a WoW expansion? Just skip this linear grindfest. The game is fail and you can't even swim.

    Trolls = Hardcore
    Fanbois = Carebears

    The only posts I read in threads are my own.

    OP, did you really ask, if you should play game A or game B...in the forums of game A?

    Only thing true in that statement is you cant swim.  I'm guessing you loaded the beta played for 5 minutes and logged out because you already had your mind made up before you even loaded the game.  Go troll somewhere else or complain about more then the lack of swimming in an MMORPG where swimming is not needed nor is it a major feature of gameplay that you would even use more then once or twice your entire time playing the game.

    While playing Aion, I just can't shake the feeling that Aion was designed for nursery classes. :D

    Actually if you got a high level character in Wow there is no reason to start all over again in Aion. WoW is 5 years old and still as good as this game and better because of the population. Me ... I loaded it played it, hated the animation and the same kill a rat, bear, wolf etc. feeling and am now happily playing in the Champions Online beta.  Aion is just the newest fantasy rehash ... oh w/ wings and supposedly better PvP (If thats ur thing) ... Nothing new to see here move along.

    To the OP

    You can't expect find the answer to your request in these forums and probably in many other. The best way to find the truth about this game is finding a fanboy capable to accept your point of view of the game's failures and still want to play. The second better way is to try to get a beta key and test yourself

    Spoken like someone who hasn't done any serious research on the game.  PvP is not a minor footnote in Aion.  If you enjoy pvp, I would most definitely recommend it over WoW.  It has open world pvp (level 20+), RvR sieges, and PvPvE dungeons and encounters, in addition to PvE.

    "Start all over?"  It takes maybe a month to max a character in WoW, and you basically have to start the gearing process over again each major patch anyway.  I had 3 geared level 80's and several other high levels, and had played the game for about 2.5 years, but didn't think twice about switching to Aion once I had played through a beta event.

    To OP: Anyway, if you are satisfied with WoW in it's current incarnation and can see yourself continuing to play it for a good while, okay;  but the fact that you are curious about other games means you should probably give Aion a serious try atleast.
