I just started playing Fable 2, and I am absolutely in awe of the game!!!!
It is nothing for me to sit down and watch 5 or 6 hours of playing this game go by in no time. The whole time I find myself never bored or frustrated.
I want more.
PLEASE, if you've played Fable 2 and know of another game or other games like it, tell me. I think I found exactly what I'm looking for in this game.
I like the humor, the story, the magical feeling it gives you, the involvement you get (like getting married, kids, buying houses and other real estate), the open ended decision making processes, the gameplay (I love how you have 3 choices of attack and how you improve on each), ... There's so much in this one game it's insane.
If only there were an MMO that gave me the same feeling I get when I play this game, it would be down right dangerous in my life. I would never ever ever ever quit playing. LOL!!!

Never played Fable 2 and I never will till I see that game in the 15 dollar bin. Why? Because not only long ago I brought the expanded Fable 2, Lionhead didn't bother to fix the lady grey glitch and I was stuck on an island. I never went back to Fable since and they already baled out on a lot of the hype we wanted. Laziness.
You should try The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind or Oblivion.

RISING DRAGOON ~AION US ONLINE LEGION for Elyos
I played Fable 2 and stopped playing it before I finished it. it felt too much like an action game with RPG elements. The game was also pretty much without challenge.
If you're looking for an RPG with a bit more meat, you might want to try Fallout 3 or The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
I love a deep rpg as much as the next guy, but there is something alluring about the simplicty, the flow and the enjoyment I get from playing Fable 2.
after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...
And mod the bajeebus out of it via mods. There is an intense amount of mods available at Fallout 3 Nexus or the respective Oblivion Nexus.
Just an intense amount of mods available. Don't expect to go to that site and be done in 15 minutes, you'll need to browse for hours at the very least until you come up with your perfect configuration. You can completely change the game around, especially Oblivion, to include texture packs that make the game look even better than it is.
Intensify the depth and complexity of these games. You'd be doing yourself a major disservice to not mod if you own either Fallout 3 or Oblivion on PC, major disservice to yourself.
As you can see via my Xfire, I'm currently doing this for Fallout 3, and I plan to go back to Oblivion at some point.
Damn I'm craving for a good RPG so badly these days. I WANT Diablo 3!!!
O_o o_O
Yeah, I tried those on the PC. They're pretty good. But I just like the environment and the "feel" of Fable 2 more.
I also have a lot of problems playing games where you have to aim at something on the console. It doesn't take long for me to get frustrated and finally give up on games like that. They're okay on the PC where I can use my mouse to aim, but I begin grumbling trying to get a crosshair on something with those console controllers.

Yeah, me too. It is simple, I don't disagree with that. But where the challenge is lost somewhat, it is more than replaced by the great story and possibilities in Fable 2. I can't get over how much there is to do.
