Is a big fake! Yeah, the environments look good with some tweaking. But the rest of it was all scripted. It wasn’t real! It’s not the game you’ll never get to play. Are their blinders that thick on the SWG forums that they dont see this?
SOE was famous for releasing videos of games that were just as phony.

Well I suppose if you look closely enough the graphics seem different in this video especially when you look at the start with agnos in comparison to older videos.
Where did this video come from? Was it released by the devs or did it just mysteriously "appear" on youtube?
Sorry if you guys already know this but I don't bother to read the official forums so I don't know what the debate about this video is except for what is poste here.
The History of the Order of The Golden Shields
I believe it appeared on YouTube August 2nd and then a person by the name of Dreeka mentioned it in the official forums yesterday.
I know that video was floating around 3 months ago.
But its just another video of a single character running.
The video wasnt even made in the game and done around the end of September 2008. It was completed for the new stargate show where they were pretending to play the game in the show.
Doubt that will happen since there is no game now!
All I get is video removed by user.

Apparently the official forum goers are not as dumb as I think.
Phantasy star online called, we miss the dreamcast.
???? I guess you have not really seen the game. Those are the environments that I have seen. No, this is not actual game play. I think everyone can see that it is not actual game play -- so why state the obvious. There is no deception here. There is no game display or user interface running trying to pretend otherwise. But, it does represent the environments and graphics I have seen personally. So, yes, the game environments are represented here.
Yeah, it looks beautiful there has never been a doubt about SGW's visuals (plays like poop). It looks like one of the alpha pockets as identified on former employee portfolio/resume pages.
Does that area have all it's spawns & quests? Has that area even been tested with more than a couple toons in it? If the answers are no, then there is a good chance that the area, and possibly visuals, could change in order for it to play in an MMO environment.
People look at a video that is 'in game' and expect that to be what the game is actually like. Showing off a scripted video is not the game. It's just fake.
Investors have seen several 30 second and 60 second "commercials" for the game, this is no more, no less than that.
Looking at a game clip, like this, which could have easily been produced just for what it is, PR Bull Shit, has nothing to do with the game, in final form. Even when the game is in final form, finished, it still has a way to go before it is published, much less distributed.
Think of this game as a car of the Future. Millions going have gone into the developement, a few rolling models are made of what the developers would like, the car body is tested, changed, overhauled, finalized, all the while the engine, drivetrain and other components are being assymbled for production.. Then it comes time to put it all together, BUT WAIT, the parts dont fit, the transmission isnt completed and alas there is NO ENGINE.. StarGate Worlds...
Hey come on, according to the official forums there's light at the end of the tunnel, right guys? Really I have to agree that although this clip does look great the trouble is that as said before it's probably just a scripted piece of video art. On the official forums however it's proof of light being at the end of the tunnel, just no one told them yet that it's really a steam train heading towards them with "bankruptcy" plastered all over it.

Watching it again, really not sure what everyone sees as pretty. Seriously. Looks about equivelant to Phantasy Star Online environments from years ago. It's only slightly better than the painful to look at Runes of Magic and below Jade Dynasty as far as engine from what I can see. Graphics aren't anything, but sheesh, hellgate still looks much better than these and has insane mob density.
You're probably right but take into account most of us are rabid SG fanbois, and we'd step over are own mothers to get our hands on an SG MMORPG (sorry mum!). Compared to some MMORPGs I've played in the past it did look good but as I said it was a scripted video so if there was a game it'd be probably worse with lag.
Damn I need a decent MMORPG, I think I'll burn a few copies of SWG and pray to Koster tonight in the hopes of Earthrise reaching launch in a decent state!
