Any chance we can get a "draft" button to save to before posting.

It is true I could use wordpad or word to draft in before posting my reponse via copy paste.  But this site's text word processor is pretty nice and perhaps nicer to use than word pad.

The reason I ask is because there is no save or auto save function unless I missed it.  I just lost all that I was typing when I accidently hit my mouse pad on my laptop while typing and sent me elswhere.  Or, it might of been I couldn't type fast enough and the site timed out. Either way I lost what I was typing because I could not do a save to disk or draft before posting.  I like to type and sit for a bit before posting for editing purposes.  Often I just leave this site open.  If I did lose what I was typing because my thumb accidently hit the pad on my laptop/browser and redirected me I just can't click back and recover (didn't work when I tried).

I guess I just have to start using wordpad and lose the ease of using this site's word proccessor.

the ease of use? I use google chrome and this editor BLOWS CHUNKS in that.

Forum signatures are stupid and annoying. I've turned mine off.

I recommend you get used to pressing the "preview" button. It will keep stuff if you get distracted temporarily or accidentally hit a link.  If I am typing something long, I generally just use preview often and sometimes even use CTRL-A and CTRL-C to make sure I have it backed up somewhere.

Making a habit of saving large posts in Notepad is a good idea, too.
