Seems very caster oriented

I'm watching a lot of youtube clips and it seems for the most part everyone will be casters and ranged for their main powers.  Before you jump all over me as most do on message boards, I understand that you could be dps,healing, tanks but first and foremost casters.  It's not really a bad thing, I'm not complaining, and it's just the nature of the beast as we are super hero's.

Fire, ice, electricity, sorcery, guns, and blasters is what I see a lot.  Very little hand to hand, and I'm sure some damage over time .

Do you think going with pure Martial Arts would be effective, cause most fights on youtube people seem to get out mobbed and keep their distance.

If you build your character right it isn't really a problem.  Melee does fine.

there is also a certain mechanic for melee characters who don't have a range skill (but most do) that works quite well.
