The game isn't generally laggy, the game in China is being run seperately. It will not be updating to the next patches at the same speed as Korea, Japan, and NA. I assume the stability is for this reason as well.
Im currently trying the chinise version and it seems very laggy, around 1 sec delay is that normal? or is that because server is far away^^ is the gane generaly laggy? big batteles?
thx
far away.

I would guess it's down to latency, why don't you check your ping times in game, a high number will = more lag which is due to the fact the server's a long way away in China

I'm not to sure, I've only just got a beta key so I've not tried the game yet, I'm sure one of the beta testers will let you know if it's possible and how to do it.
Looks like there is no current way to check your 'ping' from in game But I've found this artical that explains how to do it. It's a bit of a faff but should work. Hope it helps

but since there is around a sec delay, ill assume there is 1000ms ping
Try different servers, you may find one with less latency but to be honest you are better off waiting for the NA/EU release then your ping will be fine. I've heard that the engine Aion uses is very good so once the NA/|EU servers are up you should be fine.
(Unless you have a PC that's not min spec or above).
there is alot of causes of lag...it could come from the game having a near max population were you are at, it could come from your graphics settings, it oculd come from your processor, or it could come from you ISP.
Try turning down your graphics settings to medium. If you have an older card, AION is brutal on them and you simply cannot run the game on high settings without lag. Make sure you have MORE than the minimum RAM and space needed. If you are just barely above the minumum you will have lag. With a system stressing game like AION, I would highly recommend upgrading. Remember the minium req only allow you to run the game...the recommended is what you really need to look at for performance.
Recommended PC Requirements
* Microsoft Windows® XP SP2/ Vista
* Dual Core CPU 2.0GHz or equivalent
* 2GB RAM
* NVIDIA® 6800 with 256MB RAM / ATI® Radeon® x800 with 256MB or higher
* 15GB hard disk space
* DVD-ROM drive
* DirectX® 9.0c (6/2008 update)
* Sound device
* Broadband Internet connection
If you are not running the Recommended as listed above, you will have lag you wouldnt believe. And from my experience running aion on three different systems..I would REALLY recommend using a graphics card above what is listed in recommended. Also DO NOT TRY TO RUN AION WITH DIRECTX 10!! I know some are able to but I know alot of people whomhave had massive massive lag problems using DirectX 10. Once rolled back to DirectX 9...the game began running better.
One last thign..on the RAM...it says 2G is recommended...honestly I beleve it should be more like 3 for optimal peformance I have a monster system with 8 RAM (yes it realy is an 8 RAM) and a system with a 4 RAM and a system with a 2RAM. It runs ok on the 2RAM but so much better on the 4 and 8.

You are right, but It's always better to find out if it's a latency issue before you fork out on a new PC
So if you are getting a good 'ping' and still lagging check all the things this guy has advised.

I lagged on the chinese servers as well as a lot of other people. I don't lag on the NA servers unless they're stressing them on purpose. This includes no lag during the large battles I've been involved in.
