Levelling question.

Ok I checked the linked guides first but didnt see this answer or maybe I'm just too sleepy.

This game reminds of Lineage 2 which is a great game but the grind is crazy. Is this game similar where questing only gets you so much xp and you have to just kill non stop to level  up? I would prolly still get it,  just curious though. Thanks

    It's not.

1.0 had periods where you had to grind due to running out of quests but 1.5 (launch version) includes a lot more quests along with it. As with any game you'll be better off killing stuff in between, but you should be able to quest for the majority of the game.

Example: lvl18 soloing will give you about 2.5k exp per regular mob, but in a 3 man party killing 1 lvl19 elite mob will give each person about 12k exp.

Yea soloing can be slow but the fastest was to lvl is doing the quest and grouping on elites.

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...

Grouping is only faster if you have a competent party and people don't die.

If you don't like grinding, you shouldn't be playing RPGs, let alone MMORPGs.

All the great RPGs have grind.

Yes this is very very true. I still have nightmares about FFXI. What is the point in getting max lvl within 3 days? Sit back and enjoy the game and let it mean something when you hit max lvl. Heck throw a little party =))

    Played Aoc/DDO/FFXI/WAR / LoTRo / CO / Aion
    Playing Rift

Waiting for FFXIV to be the game it should. so sad =(

From what I've heard, patch 1.5 added aton of new quests. I think from levels 1-20ish? the quests may seem abit linear but after that the options to you become much more open, allowing you to choice where you want to go and focus on.

Good to hear. I dont mind grinding but some asian games are nothing but grinding and minimal questing.
