Hey, I'm here to tell you about this game I found a few days ago, since I haven't seen much talk of it around here. Although it's technically in closed beta, I figured this would still be the best spot for it. It's an Indie title sandbox MMO. Its purely skill-based, no levels. At release, there will be four races to choose from, the Devs chose to make only four, so that they could devote more time to each race, as one Dev said: "We're keeping the number relatively low, so we can focus more on making each rate as fleshed out and unique as possible rather than just throwing in a generic mix of high fantasy races with vague backgrounds and functionally identical cities." -Wiz.(Dev)
As I said earlier, the game is currently in closed beta, however, the Devs decided it would be better to NOT have an NDA, so that information could be freely spread about the game, so if you want to find things out about, it isn't difficult to do so. "The beta has no NDA, so by all means, hang out on the forums, stick around IRC and follow the news coming out of the beta.: -Liam (Dev)
Anyway, I'm sure you'd rather read more about the game from different sources then just me. the link for the games website is dawntide.net, if you click the link from there for features, there is a little info, but most of it will be found under the forums.
One more note, the first stage of closed beta is currently full for applicants, however, there will be two more stages for you to get in. Some advice: if you decide this game might be for you, the best way to get an app, will to be active in the community, post some things in the forums, ask questions, and most importantly, chill on the IRC when you have time (which is how I got my invite, about an hour ago =D), the Devs are almost always on there as well. It is a GREAT source of information about the game. I learned more through talking with people on IRC then I would have been able to by searching through the forums.
Hope convinced some people to try this game out. Maybe I'll see you in-game sometime soon!

Err is the info page in latin?
Weird.
Heh, was in English earlier, no clue what happened.
The devs on this game should have waited longer before allowing the public to test the game. I downloaded and installed it the other day. The patcher took forever to update the game and once I got in the game. There was nothing to test, no quests and no creature or NPCs to attack. Plus when I walked into a body of water. I started walking on top of the water, like I was Jesus of Nazareth. I know they are in very very early testing, but no one outside of their office should have ever seen the game this way.
When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!

seen much worse that that.
but it looks like some kind of "Vanguard" *light*
this game looks pretty cool. i'll keep an eye out for it from now on.
Combining the hardcore AC Darktide PvP with the Epic Vaporware of Dawn !!!
That's because they are doing an actual beta test, not a 'the game is almost ready for release, lets build up some hype" beta test.
There aren't any quests in yet, you have that, but there are creatures, you just have to look for more then 5 minutes. Right now they are just doing a core test to find bugs, and adding new content here and there, they are adding it in slowly so that they can determine where new bugs that arise have come from. If they put out all the content at once, they would have to search alot longer to find the cause of a bug.
DT looks very interesting. I'll be sure to keep an eye on it. I've been wanting to try a skill based MMO. I'm extremely bored with level based games at the moment.
LOL a game so obscure that even this site doesn't have it listed.
Starting out small is the way to go for smaller companies, to not loose control over the cash flow. Then build and grow slowly.
Looks like it could grow into something one day. Hope it goes well for them.
Alright, so i was browsing their forums and in one of there threads there was a link to the email they send out it you get accepted to the beta. So I looked at it and saw that there was most of a link to where you'd make an account. So I typed it into my address bar, and I clicked register on that page, and I signed up. I needed to put in a key. So I just made one up, and it worked! I was quite surprised. So after I created my account I sent an email to them with the code I used and my forum name. They then gave me access to the beta forum. I looked around and I also downloaded the game. But then they banned my forum name because I used an invalid code. And it will never be lifted. Also today it seems that they've also IP banned me, so I can't connect to the server. I may not be banned but it seems that I am. I told them how I did it and that they should fix it. I don't think I should be banned, I didn't really do anything wrong. And plus I helped them find a bug in their registration. But for some reason I guess they don't see that. I know it was kind of bad but I think it was kind of good too. So I guess a messed up badly because I wanted to follow and play this game. So I guess I must say goodbye to DawnTide unfortunately.
game sux. its a wow clone

This game looks GOOD. I am in the beta but (evidently) my video card doesnt support it =(
I hear that future patches may fix this but I can say (honestly) this is going to be a GREAT GAME and I am upgrading when the time comes to play it.
Right now it's in beta, but it will not be free to play when it releases.
Ugh Korpcse why did you have to tell this forum about this game? All they will do is tear it apart and complain, then not have the mental capacity to understand WHY they are allowing public testers in so early.
Shame on you Korpcse.

I wasn't the first to post about it here, I just gave out info on it, lol.
Agreed. I was hoping this game would fly under the radar and not show up on this site as long as possible.
Nothing to see here. Go back to your regularly scheduled mmo.
