Horizons Future

I recently quit the mmorpg game Horizons. Horizons was a dissapointment. In regards to large amount of lag the game recieved to its users "large memory leaks" problems they did'nt fix. There staff is very unproffesional. There when they filled for bankrupcy they where being very mischievious. There bandwith company is out ALOT of money. David Bowmann is odvyousely not a compitent manager.

The large ammount of patching problems and login times, "If it even let you in at all". My friend got on to try the game : The free 7 day trial : .  To our dissapointment it did'nt even run on his computer. We contacted customer support and all we got was consistent hassles. They ended up charging us the 11.95/mon fee. We never did manage to remove it from this card.

Im not a horizons hatter. In fact I was at one time addicted to the game. There was one problems at the begining at launch time when I first got the game. Crafting was the only thing to do. Combat was scarce. Spawns where lame. Due to the massive ammount of people who quit for whatever reason. I think it might be safe to say there companies done. In a few months when its time to pay there done.

When they started to consolidate the servers I was outa there. Good luck horizons

Well it's still pretty much a crafters oriented game which is not my favorite thing to do but I still play it (barely) because I have a couple real good friends I like to keep in touch with.  On the other hand it sure appears to me that AE just has this knack of shooting themselves in the foot every other step they take.

HZ's finest hours were the first few weeks of release. Good economy, lots of players, and lots of community interaction. That went vertical [no pun intended] a month, though.

Yea. Horizons excited me. It was a very fun neat and interesting game. A system i paid 2000 dollars for recently gets 5 FPS on this game. No thanks, But yes i do agree first weeks where very populated. Actualy it did maintain a reasonable amount of people. Then they all started to leave. Though i didnt blame them. I stayed in enve though crafting was still the main thing to do. Games base on crafting has no point if you have nothing to use the stuff you crafted on... The spawns where horrible!

And the population is still declining.  After the merge there was hordes of people on, it was great especially when u needed to buy something as the consigners were packed with stuff. Now the consigners only have on them the equivalant of what they had before the merge. It is sad to see the slow declining death of a great game.

I am a little surprised that the game has held on this long.  A lot of adversity brought on by themselves.

its is a shame that AE have been one of the most incompetent managers of a game I've ever seen. I play on the EU shards which are currently down as they are being merged - an opperation we were told wouldn't happen to us. GN, who run the game in EU, have IMO decided it is better to drop down to one server then risk the loss of 3 when the game goes belly up.

Some of the concepts in game are very good - I paticually like the multi classing and the Crafting system. But as an earlier poster said Ae are remarkably good at shooting themselves in the foot.

All I can say is i hope it lasts past the release of WoW and EQ2.
