New player... are cave spec shaman good in solo pvp

SotoSoto Member UncommonPosts: 177

I just bought this game and made a shaman. Often hard to find groups so my character many a times find himself in open pvp areas, dungeons, with out a group. Now, is a solo, cave spec shaman a good pvp class? I know that some classes are geared WAY more then others for solo pvp play...so should I choose another class before getting owned too much and get discouraged with the game?

So the first thing you need to do is make sure you are playing on the Devon cluster.  Second, what do you mean you find yourself in open PvP areas?  There aren't any unless you are playing on Mordred (the dying PvP server).  If you are 50, you would not be asking this question.  I can only assume that unless you are Mordred (which is your actual problem) I assume you mean you are soloing to level and in the battlegrounds.  So here is what you need to know:

    1.  Only assassins and archers solo in the frontier.  Pretty much if you don't have stealth, you will die.  The good news is that it is really easy to get groups.  I just walk out with pretty much any class and I get a group.  Then there are those that are looking for a group.  If you don't have one or want one, just travel with the zerg.

    2. The BG are different than NF.  In the battlegrounds, for some reason no one starts a group.  If you see people around, just invite them to group and start one.  It bothers me that people just run around solo and do not start groups.  That started a couple years back, but was not that way.  In any case, just start your own group.

    3.  Just because you will level solo, doesn't mean you will RvR solo.

    4.  You can always respec any time.  Mending is best for groups because people will want a healer.  For leveling, Cave is good.  Not sure how it works in RvR.  What you can do is type /who Shaman.  Look for a level 50 and ask them.  Or, while in the game, use the advice channel.
