Best TV for under $2000?

I'm getting a new tv for another room, but i have to keep it under $2000. Do u guys have any advice on buying TV's and know of any good deals?? I plan on using it for xbox splitscreen and system link, i dont mind some projection TV's.

    TV prices vary way to much to give a bright suggestion, so many sells, offers, plans...

     

    2k for a TV?  I wish I could afford to live on the same planet you do!  My Tv cost me $300, I guess I am a lowlife by your standards.

     

    Nonetheless, especially those high end TV, the prices vary a LOT.  I would suggest you buy something that have a special low price of 2k for a limited time...I am clueless althought as to which.

    36 inch toshiba cinema series.I bought one recently and paid under 1000 us for it.(with free delivery as well)

    Dont start a guild and dont be a leader or volunteer to be coleader or captain.

    Just play the damn game:)

    If you are trying to go High Def, do NOT get a Plasma. $2000 Plasmas are crap. Locked in to 480p.

    I have a 56" JVC Projection and Love it. Have had it for just over a year. A friend of mine just bought one and his has quite a few more features than mine. You can get a very nice projection TV for about $1200 to $1500.

    If you have a good, dark, theatre type room to put it in (no or few easily covered windows), then you can also get a decent projector and screen for $1500.

    I bought a "47 Panasonic HD widescreen for $2000 Canadian. It's pretty sweet, and pretty thin for a projection.
