Blizzard's Punchline - A Thousand Islands Tauren Dressing

What are they going to call A Thousand Needles when it gets flooded in the Cataclysm? A Thousand Islands? Will the Taurens be selling their own special dressing recipe? Is this a punchline that Blizzard has been keeping in their back pocket for 5 years? Pure genious.

Wouldn't it be funny if this expansion rumour turned out not to be true... imagine all the disappointed faces at Blizzcon.
Honestly, I think something so drastic would be very good for WoW. Something that changes an entire zone (under used as well) would seem epic in nature and a sense of history to the game (i.e. "I remember a day when there wasnt this water...the world was new..it was a simpler time") . Heck, I would give the 10d trial a go if only to look at the destruction.

I guess the question I would have is how are they going to repackage the game for the future. Cataclysm would be a great chance to say hey if you are a newbie now is a really good time to get into WoW. People aren't going to want to buy 4 boxes to play the game. I know several people that have been interested in playing WoW but have decided not to because they felt they were too late to the party. Perhaps they could provide alternate 60 to 80 zones in Cataclysm making Northrend and Outland optional expansions but not required to get to the cap. Who knows. We'll find out in a few days.
I was thinking of the Geography of the region and realized that part of Feralas will also get flooded as there's a stready climb up to Camp Mojace... Thalanaar will obviously submerged.
I wonder if the racetrack in Shimmering Flats will be used for powerboats instead.
Yeh and if the waters that high then it'll flood into tanaris unless they close the mountains. I would be sad to see the Shimmering flats go cause I love that zone but the rest of the zones suck.
you guys could construct something to stop the water.. .wait... is not a sandbox game.
This sounds awsome and I will definately be going back to WoW to try it out.

Sounds neat, I wonder how they'll handle breathing time though?

A couple patches ago they buffed breathing time. You can stay underwater a really long time now. Also your mount does not dis-mount underwater.

Cool. Last time I played (coule years ago) warlocks had an underwater breathing time buff so raiding underwater will make warlocks essential.

Cool. Last time I played (coule years ago) warlocks had an underwater breathing time buff so raiding underwater will make warlocks essential.
It is easy for them to introduce items that allows underwater breathing. There is already a fishing pole that does that. Now we just need a proper item.
Or an enchantment willl be fine too.
You do know that there are 30 minute underwater breathing potins alchemist can make.

It's going to make everyone want to re-roll and start over. Thus allowing them to bring in a huge segment of new players to the game that did not want to level in empty zones and buy 4 boxes for a game that had become World of Raidcraft.
I haven't followed wow in awhile, so please tell me where you are getting this information at. I would like to read up on it.

Oh and the coolest thing of all about this will be the return of Barrens chat. But not just one Barrens chat, TWO! Rumor is the Barrens will be split into two zones. I am hoping one half will be a lowbie zone and the other half will be a high level zone. Can't wait for the Barrens chat!

Caverns of Time? Maybe they'll have a dude there asking if you want to go back and relive the past? And I don't think Tanaris will be flooded. Maybe they'll put a big water fall and river from the Flats, maybe it will even dump into Un'goro crater.
