Hello~
I would say to you that, yeah, don't even dream on it and go buy Windows 7 yeah -_-
becuz almost around 95% of Korean people use Microsoft windows and even server, most companies in Korea use ASP.NET rather than JSP. Linux and Mac is at fall behind (Do they even know what linux and mac are? they know only iPhone)
They code all their game code in Direct X. There were no even school lecturing OpenGL in Korea, which is the cross platform API run on Linux.
And wine would not work either becuz of stupid gameguard.
Yeah I love microsoft and bill gates, lets go buy windows 7 for better performance.

I cant decipher what you are trying saying.

I lost my drink to laughter at this.
But face it, Microsoft just doesn't care about anyone anymore, so there is no reason to buy Windows 7. Of course, there is no reason to play Aion, so don't worry about it. The game is no different from so many other PvP based Korean games. IT looks better, and you can fly. When I played it during the weekend events, I didn't see anything that struck me as new or interesting.
So let's keep using a decent OS and play decent games. Gameguard alone should be a red flag that the game is horrible and should be avoided at all costs.

As a person who worked for Microsoft for 14 years (in the Windows division, no less), I can honestly tell you that.....well nevermind, I use Linux.
EDIT: typo
Ha! Cfurlin, that was amazing. Thank you!

Actually my MAC whoops such serious ass that it actually allows me to open this little window and run Windows at full bore and any game I could ever possibly want; while in OS X I'm running CS4 that is vastly superior to it's counterpart on windows, while running WoW on a different instance, while cleaning up with YASO, all while being displayed on a beautiful 24 inch monitor WITH built in color correction AND the damn thing hasn't crashed in 6 months...
Yeah, enjoy your copy of windows 7.
Important Information regarding Posting and You
Would you go away with your wannabe Korean, Aion-hating, lie-posting ass? Just because the majority of gamers in another country uses one particular OS doesn't mean the others will be fully capable of using the usual methods to play a game that they want to. First it was wireless hardware, now it's operating system. What's your beef with Aion, anyway? Is it because you and your butthurt buddies got banned for cheating, like you posted in another thread?
You're welcome. I'll add to your enjoyment one more time...
The ENTIRE time I worked at MS, Linux was my primary OS at home. I only used Windows at work.

So you left for a greener Bliss, I hope!
To people running a Mac, it is the Unix core that is making it so flawless. I could no more run a mac than I could Windows. I have no control over a Mac, and it makes me very uncomfortable. If it works for you though, I say good on you. Any dollar you don't give to Microsoft is a win in my book. I wouldn't give money to Mac either, on principle. Anyone with an ad campaign that rabid could be doing something better with it. Of course, in my opinion, Mac is only better for people that don't really know what is going on behind the scenes. Which is okay, don't get me wrong, I just wish they would give their uses the ability to make some more changes. Customization, to me, is a massive deal. But, like I said, better them than Microsoft.
I really feel sorry for you, having worked for them, although I imagine they pay well. Did you ever get the feeling they were...you know...evil?

Evil? LOL. No, I think Microsoft went through several phases in their history that they did NOT handle well, but I don't think they were ever consciously evil.
Microsoft, even to this day, doesn't really know what it wants to be when it grows up. The company jumps from idea to idea without any real overreaching game plan, which is pretty obvious if you look at the evolution of a lot of their products. They rarely latch on to what customers really want, prefering to "interpret" customer feedback in their own way, much like a parent would interpret what's best for a child.
I left partly for non-software related projects and also because I became completely disillusioned with their "corporate" line of thinking. I spent the last year or so there frustrated watching the same people making the same bad decisions over and over -- for some reason unable to remember the last time and how bad it was. Microsoft's primary products, Windows and Office have really lost focus too and have morphed into behemoth's of useless "features" and like their parent, just don't know what they want to be when they grow up.
It's unfortunate because I mostly enjoyed the people I worked with on my team. But, its hard to care about your job when a lot of the time, you feel embarrased to admit you work for the company. That's when you know its time to leave.
