Fun experience in CO Public quest last night

I was in Mil City when a cry goes out over the zone chat for help to take down a Cosmic lvl mob.....Mega Destroid.   There is a public quest and he is the final step to complete the quest.  

This thing spawns and it is a 40ft tall robot, lvl 28 Cosmic mob with 660,000+ hps and you only have 7 mins to kill him!.....There were at least 20+ people fighting this thing......To me that is exactly what a Public quest should be....it was true "we need everyone that can help to be here and fighting" moment.

Facing this cosmic giant was a great experience and I was VERY suprised to feel like a true super hero against it.   I was able to reach out with my grasping darkness attack and pick this 40ft mob up off his feet and float him in the air while people were attacking him.....I don't think I've ever felt so powerful in a game before?  He promptly got up from the ground and blasted me into little bitty pieces and I had to run back from the spawn to jump in the fray again..

We got him down to less than 60,000 hps but were unable to kill him off completely....but it was a great time and a true Public Quest that felt like an impromptu raid

    I tried to go toe-to-toe with grond in the desert once. Let me tell you, not a good idea :D .

    I love that they have big cosmic monster right out there in the zone!

    The first time I saw that Destructor robot I was exploring Millennium City turned a corner and *bam* there it was! A frantic chase followed where I was ducking behind every building I could find to break LOS while it would pound me to less then 5% hp with a single attack. I got away but it was close!

    Also the first time I saw Grond there were 10ish heroes levels 10-15 fighting him. I joined the fight and got off a few hits before he swatted we out of the air like a bug, good times.

    Sounds like a lot of fun.

    Good to see PQs are going into other games. Good ideas are good ideas.

    Do they actually call them "Public Quests"?

    Man that guy always spawns near me in the desert....all I can say is thank god for super speed

    The Devs have announced a End of Beta Event for all day Sunday....These huge Destroid robots and small robots are going to be attacking MC all day....If you participate in the event and help take down one of the big Destroid bots...you will be given special items when the game goes live...including a mini destroid pet bot
