As a change of pace from all the "let's see who can come up with the worst healthcare" threads how about a real medical breakthrough.  This is some really cool stuff.

looks like we're well on our way to developing those acceleration suits from G.I.Joe.  You know how much fun I could have with one of those?!  But on a serious note, helping people out like that kinda renews my hope in humanity... ever so slightly.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

There are two things I find frightening about that article.

The company developing the exoskeleton robotic legs is Cyberdyne and the computer they use is named HAL.

Like we need SkyNet and HAL working together.

Nothing was wrong with HAL he just got conflicting directives.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981
