AI / Hair Movie

This is a small demonstration of how the AI works (how your character's head reacts to the environment) and the dynamic hair. With sound.

It's a little dark, but you can still see.

Here's a Cleric Spell: *edit spell name: Favor of the Phoenix

It gives a party member a Phoenix wing in their inventory, so incase you die (and you will) and they don't, they can use that to rez you. Pretty nifty. Also has a small sample of the background zone area music. Very nice.

I used Fraps. There's a demo version you can try, but I bought it for like $20, $25. image

edit: I just visited the site and they're charging $30 now for full version.

thanks, I have used this before but it was really hard on the system while recording, which is why I used Gamecam. Has it been good for you in eq2?

Did you use something on the movies after recording them? Using Frap, I 'filmed' myself playing for a while, maybe 35 minutes or so, and it left me with a 3 odd gig file.

Video editing is not my strong point, but 3 gigs for 30 odd minutes seems a wee over the top.

Interestingly enough, Fraps ran fine while playing EQ2, but stuttered like crazy while recording while I was playin WoW.

35 minutes is a damn long movie lol :P

Yea, Fraps is wierd. I used it to record my DAoC Bringer of PWN movies in RVR but it lagged so bad I was the one gettin PWN'd lol. So, a friend of mine suggested gamecam and it was awesome to say the least. It's nice to hear that it is good in EQ2, I just registered and will make some movies soon as the servers are up.

I've got a 120 gig hd and 30 gig hd, so space isn't much of an issue. you can adjust the frames per second captured, so i would assume that would matter a lot. i used the microsoft film editing program, then saved for the web which took a lot of that memory down.

I had my graphics on the High setting while taking these, and got just a tiny bit of lag, not even enough to be annoying. I also tried Very High but I'd lag really bad whenever I tried to do something.
