A Question of snow, for BETA's

VineyardVineyard Member Posts: 180
I have yet to see anything acknowledging the topics of climatilogical geographics so this is my querry. Is here any zone that is snow covered? I always loved being in Halas and the surrounding area because of it being enshrouded with snow.

I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that referance. I love those comercials.

Heh, I work in television, and Guiness is one of our advertizers. When that line of commercials came out, everyone around here was saying BRILLIANT to each other. It was funny AND pathetic at the same time.image

Yeah, I found myself saying it a good bit after I saw the first commercial. Needless to say, my wife and employees got just a bit tired of me saying it. Now I only say it when I se one of the commercials, which thankfully is almost never as I am never home long enough to watch much T.V.

Hey En1Gma, where are those pictures of that snow covered island?

  • EnigmaEnigma Member UncommonPosts: 11,384

Im trying to get there. As of the last patch the "antarctic zones" were locked up.

However, they've just been unlocked (per a EQ2 developer statement last night) in the last bug update last night.

There's a quest to allow passage to the frostlands (everfrost). When i unlock it (probably tomorrow) ill post a ton of screenies..if not, I'll hound a high level beta tester for pics.

But be sure to expect them, cause Ill find them

Most excellent En1Gma. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see them. So, the whole island is Everfrost, or rather the remains? Uh yeah, are the mammoths syill there? I want to engage in a massive mammoth killing onslaught again....oh yeah and the pain...ggrrr and the blood...and all the screaming...and...(pant)..(pant)...sorry bout that, bad EQ flashback.

  • EnigmaEnigma Member UncommonPosts: 11,384

from what I am told (as no one has ventured foot on that island for 500 years) is that the island is somewhat intact.

Also, I did hear that the mammoths are still there as well as the pretty nice tusks they dropped. Also, from what I heard an old hill giant Statue is still there on the island and survived the onslaught on the moon.

Also, I visited Stormhold (er or is it Stromhold)...it was pretty messed up.

I just wished I played the ol EQ series so I can get that nostalgic feeling of redsicovering the starter race home cities but now in ruins.

::sigh:: When I think of Everfrost I always think of those wooly mammoths that I hunted with my friends at low lvls. Good times....image
