Many reasons. Most of those guilds are done raiding within two days, if it isn't a progression fight. That leaves 5 days of either playing an alt, bgs, ect. So with the downtime they'll play Aion on off nights.

Aion's going to much more popular then most of the haters want to admit...maybe it scares them knowing that Aion could be the next big thing and they dont enjoy it? LOL

I'm not sure if I'll grab it right away (I may wait until 2010 to see what people think of it before buying) but I can garentee Aion is going to have a huge player base. Whether they can hold onto their players or not? Only time will tell.

    This ^^

Something like this would only be "news" if any big guild said not a single member was going to play a new game that was more than a blip on the radar

I need a new MMO world to call home as Tom Chilton keeps destroying them

Because they can play for free.

Ethian, the funny thing is all the " hate " you see towards Aion......Well the same thing went on with WoW just before it launched and look where it ended up.

Bring them on... We shall crush them and see them driven before us and hear the lamentations of their women...

I m not a hater at all, but I got utterly and completely bored of the million CBs. If they did a preview weekend once in awhile I would probably still have my pre order. Sad thing is I know quite a few people that feels the same way. One day I might pick it up but who knows. I personally see it being successful in the West but not the next big thing by a long shot. It will hold second place for awhile but a couple of games I can think of will knock it down a few notches. A good game but I found logging in was a chore not fun after awhile.

Self-proclaimed "#1" guilds tend to be conceited, and we all know the real #1 guild in a big MMO is usually full of unemployed pale guys who play 12+ hours a day.

You just described 95% of what I saw in the footage from Blizzcon.

Guess this begs the question how many other WoW guilds will come over?

Unortunatley this means nothing to me. I wish they would have prefaced the interview as to why Ensidia was a big deal. As they put it, the two were "very experienced mmo players".

So "ok", great. But I'm sure there are a lot of experienced mmo players. As someone who doesn't know wow or ensidia I would have liked to know more.

They're basically the #1 and #2 WoW players ever. They get paid by one of the crown princes of Dubai to play video games, because he gets a hard-on every time he gets a World First.

Well, if there is any truth to this, then I forsee a ban in the prince's future.

WoW's ToS specifically forbids letting others play your account.

I can see the nightly news blurb now:  "Dubai declares jihad after crown prince gets banned from US based MMO."

WHile I think it's cool that the so called "No.1 guild" found another game to play i've seen this before.

Raid guilds left for VG for a more Hardcore raider experience and came back in less than a month.

Casual pvers left for lotro and came back, pvpers left for WAR and AoC and came back.

Will they come back after leaving for Aion? probably.

    Playing: WoW, EvE

Interested in: TOR, ER, GW2, WoD, Dust514

Um...this is Blizzard we're talking about.  Money first.  Aside from the fact the prince could probably outright -buy- Blizzard if he wanted to, if he threw a little cash their way, I'm sure his account would be fine.

    First of all: Who's Ensidia?

Sencond: Who cares about No 1. guild in WoW?

Third: Who cares if or why they move to AION?

    greetings from your pain

Good Raidguild in WoW just means less reallife than others... *cheers*

First of all, your grammar is terrible. Second of all, what? No one cares if you care. It's just a neat little story.

Seems like they are EU - at least Magtheridon I think is an EU server...

I dont care whose number one. But I looked just to be curious.
Heres a ranking site I found a few minutes ago on google

Ever heard of Nihlium? They came from that guild.

All the top raiding guilds are european for the most part.
First 17 are european and then there is Vodka, who happens to be the #1 american raiding guild in wow.

#1 is a matter of opinion when it comes to guild.  Ensidia is by far NOT the #1 guild in my book.  Just because they have no lives and sit there and play the game for 16 hours a day and do nothing but raid does again NOT make them #1.  So WHO CARES if they come to Aion or not....I sure don't.

The world is going further down the drain. Why would anyone make an interview with people that do nothing all day, rather than play? Proclaiming your guild to be #1 is just a way of saying "bunch of lazy people with no lives".

And why would anyone care if they changed game?

Message for the "#1 guild": /wrists, make it count.

Omg, a WoW raiding guild coming to Aion, run for your lifes !

Oh wait....not like it's hard to down a NPC that does the same moves everytime that eventually you can do the damn counters in your sleep.

Will be fun to see how these raiding guilds react when they set their foot for the first time on abyss or when they get ganked by rifters.
