Good for Cryptic creating a product so many people are hyped up about. I tried the beta and personally the game does not interest me, but I can see where it will give loads of fun to many others. Good luck to all who enjoy this genre, and good luck to Cryptic to launch a successful game.

I have no doubt that CO will shift a lot of boxes. It actually looks like it will be a fun first month.
As we all know though, retention is the key in MMORPGs, and that will be interesting to watch in this game. I personally see it bombing after 4 weeks when it comes for people to fork out more money to play.
Btw, do we know exactly how many of these life accounts there were actually on offer? It seems easy to say 'omgz we sold out!!' as a press piece to generate interest and the sheeple effect in the masses if you only had, fo instance, 1000 accounts to be sold this way...
Two things this game has with Hellgate: 1) Lifetime Subs 2) Bill Roper I feel sorry for those ppl who payed lifetime sub for hellgate. Don't get me wrong I liked Hellgate, just very disappointed with Bill's handling of his company and misshandling of Hanbitsoft. I hope things don't go the route of Hellgate, but Lifetime sub idea sorta struck a cord with me... deja vu ?
You do realize that is a logical fallacy? Bill Roper also Oversaw Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft. How are those working out?
Thomas Edison tried a few things before he got the light bulb right. You still using those? because I still play all those other three games he had a key role in and I don't even pay him a subscription fee to play them.
Anyone who preorders and MMORPG or buys into the lifetime subscription is either desperate or dellusional. And they are making it so much easier for the developers to pump out trash and expect a subscription fee for it. You are not only hurting yourselves, you are ruining the genre for everyone involved.
Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

Any hard facts out there on this figure?
