Necromancers vs. Conjurers

Will some Bata Testers plz tell me the differences between Necro and Conjurer.  I have looked at other sites and EQ2s main page but they seem almost, if not the same.  And my black little hart just could not stand being the same as some goody goody of a spell caster....  Not that I have anything against conjurers mind you, I am sure they make the mommies proud.  But let’s face it evil rules, and nothing strikes fear into the hart of a goody-twoshoes like a Gnomish Necromancer!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I would really like to tell you but truth of the matter is. Next week they are rewamping all the classes completly and adding so much stuff anythign I say to you now would be plain wrong before you get to try it out.. So best thing is to hold the question a week or so, until we know how the classes will look with all the new stuff that is coming.

I know that I for one hope they rework the Nec alot. I loved playing a Nec but have been less than enthusiast as to what I have seen thus far of them in EQ2.

Necro and conjuror are pretty much the same. One big difference is that Necro is freeport-only, and conjuror is qeynos-only.

Should be interesting to see what the rework does but for the most part, I've assumed the difference was that the Necro class is an evil-Freeport only class while the Conjurer is a good-Qeynos only class. Like in Everquest 1, Necros were more dot based and drained life. I'd assume they were the same in EQ2, while Conjurers would be more DD nuke based with more summoning like the EQ1 Magacian in that he/she could summon armro for pets, different types, and supported their summon while healing it and nuking. They always seemed to mirrored each other in the EQ1 and figured they'd do the same again since they both come from the Summoner class. Can any beta tester tell me if I'm wrong on this?

Yes i have aheard a few disturbing things about Necro's in EQ2 but that will be changeing soon with the new spell lists comeing out later this week.

If i couldn't be a Necromancer i would have to play as a hulking Ogre Shadow Knight instead of a Drow.

And that would make me mad!
