Does the 199 include the cost of the retail box?

I've got my pre-order keys and I've paid the 199, but not sure how do I get in to the head start for the game? Do I have everything I need?

Nope the $199 only is for the lifetime subscription. You still NEED to buy the retail box $50 (hence the message pending retail). So your initial cash output is really $250 bucks.

If you have the pre-order code for the ones with the headstart entered into your account you can start playing without the retail box until september 1 (launch day) then you would need to purchase the retail box and enter the key to continue playing.

Do you know when we can officially start the head-start?

 

I feel like a Kid on Christmas time. I've called up Best Buy where I pre-ordered and they confirm the retail boxes are not available until sep 1st.

Open Beta Ending!

You should have received a pre-order code to enter into the system account.  Once this is done you can then start play on the Early times starting on ( currently posted ) 28th of Aug.  The release date is 1-SEP-2009.  This means you will need to have the retail box code starting from that date to play with your current account.

 

Now, provided everything goes OK and there are no shipping issues this is how it goes.  If there are shipping issues CO can extend the need for the retail box code.  Otherwise, your characters created will not go away, you will just be unable to access them until the retail box key is registered.

I don't mind buying the client, I just don't want to miss out on the weekend of playing.

I think its like around 1pm EST (10am PST) on friday (Aug 28, 2009).
