WoW OB not for a while

Well you all remember one of the blue text guys saying that there are still a few more patches till Open. The next one is here

So that means that I can finally stop checking the blizz site every other hour::::07::

if you don't want to check the source here is the quote:
We'll have more info on Plainsrunning when we are closer to the next major patch. (Which is still quite a ways away.)

    From Blizzard point of view, what is the difference between "soon" and "quite a while"?  Not sure there's so much difference.. :)

    What does a patch have to do with Open Beta? Does it directly influence OB when you patch? Are they interlinked? Can they open OB servers aside from the patch?

    I don't think a patch should decide if OB servers (If thats how they assign them) can be opened or not.

     

    Why not start OB and then patch?

    People view (and it often is)  OB as what you're going to get at release, so they need to finish putting in all the talents before OB or they'll be screams of "UNFINISHED PRODUCT!!!!".

    So thank all the whiners for the delay.

    Next patch they'll probably finish the talents, wipe the servers, and start the OB.
