Roleplay Server?

in Aion

Does anyone know if they will have a roleplaying server? If so, are any of you going to be playing on it? I'm hopeful that Aion will have a good roleplaying community. I played on the roleplay server on WoW for the 3 months I played and it was horrible. I don't think I ever saw anyone actually roleplay...ever.

    Since this is a roleplaying game, all servers are roleplaying servers.

    My brother played on a RP server on WoW Pre-BC and until now, I thought it was hilarious and I would never participate. Now, I realize that these people who actually are in character, are the most serious about the game and probably the least noob.

    If there are RP specific servers, then yes, I will play on one. Given that my friends play with me there.

    From what I can tell, if Aion does not have a server set aside for RPers by launch a lot of players will just pick a server.  Anyway, it looks like a nice community if you're into RP.

    soz to mention this but i hope u moved from wow's RP servers as when i hear the words "will there be an RP server?!?!?!"....just then i think wot the person is asking is "will there be servers for me to have cyber hanky panky on?!?!?!?!"

    bcoz THAT is the reason i never set foot on a WOW RP server after i created a NE druid and just got to lvl 2, i just coulnt take it anymore...

    Umm a RP server in Aion imo is very unlikely since a major focus of NCsoft in recent years has been PvP. This being the first real game with a PvP focus.

    Liked: Exteel, WAR, and Lineage 1
    Hated:City of Heroes, City of Villians, Matrix Online, Runescape, and D&D Online.

    Well, technically pvp and role play are not mutually exclusive.

    mm eq2 might be a good game if your into rp/lore and all that kind of content

    RPG=Role Playing Game.

    As I pointed out in an earlier post, there is an active group of RPers organizing to congregate on one server whether NcSoft has an official RP server or not.  I believe these folks are on the right track, organizing their role playing without too much publicity so as not to attract the infamous WoW RP crowd.  Even without an official server, people will play as they wish.

    An RP server just takes too much moderation to be practical.

    as u mention "RPG=Role Playing Game." this....this does not mean that u need to have cyber hanky panky....the "RPG=Role Playing Game." is actually the "Role" u are "Playing" in the game's Lore, meaning that they have a story i.e. "there was this great hero (lvl 4) who defeated all the wolves around our village so that our cattle and sheep will not be hunted that much..." (e.g. this is not an real quest). That my friend is Role Playing to me, not some stupid 12 year old kiddie "hey du u want to...u know..."RP" with me ?!?!?!"

    and might i say alot of ppl think that "RPG=Role Playing Game." is for "hey du u want to...u know..."RP" with me ?!?!?!" if u know wot i mean...
