     My personal favorite. Neutron Bomb.

In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.

The Cat Bomb is the best!

I thought this was a joke given the first two images... but then I read it.  Geezz...

I think I'll never crack jokes about using cannons to fire satelites or warheads into orbit.  Compared to using cats and pigeons in weapons, superguns seem a lot more practical.

    And that is why...

Conservatives' pessimism is conducive to their happiness in three ways. First, they are rarely surprised -- they are right more often than not about the course of events. Second, when they are wrong they are happy to be so. Third, because pessimistic conservatives put not their faith in princes -- government -- they accept that happiness is a function of fending for oneself. They believe that happiness is an activity -- it is inseparable from the pursuit of happiness.

Metal Storm has some really neat weapon systems.  I wouldn't mind owning one of their handguns.

Japan would have had a chance at developing a nuke around the same time as us.   IF they didn't focus their researchers on "radio death rays".

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

Reminded me of the Japanese Aero Listening Devices:

    Some other interesting weapons:

The Soviet T-35 Multi-Turret Tank:  Concept was a Land Battleship.  It had an impressive 5 turrets, but paper thin armor...

The Germans had their own Land Battleships concepts...

    The 1,000 ton Landkreuzer P. 1000:

    Crew of 20 to 40

And then there was the 1,500 ton version, with crew over 100 (no designs exist other than "what if's")

And to end this post, here is the wimpy, but yet practical Vespa 150:

(now there's a big gun between your legs to talk about...)

    And that is why...

The cat bombs were just great. Strapping a cat to a bomb and then assuming that the cat would guide the bomb to the deck, while in air and being dropped from a far up. Yup, great idea.

fyi, Nipon navy test fired it's A-bomb Aug 12, 1945 in Hungnam, N.Korea, three days after Nagasaki in Korea; it's yield was less than expected so Hirohito radioed the unconditional surrender three days later (Aug 15). The army's A-bomb project was firebombed into uselessness in Tokyo.
