"Cannot connect to Authorization Server"

Anyone know why I am getting this when I attempt to login? I go to my account with NCSoft and it says my account is ready to play and my key is active but I can't log into the game.

Is this the same issue discussed in the launcher thread above?

    Duno, maybe because OB starts tomorrow?

    Server is down at the moment, in preparation for OB tomorrow. By the way i saw on the official page, for close beta testers, you need to update your password...

    Servers will come online on sept 6th. Have to wait one more day

    I'm glad I kept playing around with the launcher instead of just assuming everything would be ok on sunday.  Maybe it would have been but it helps to know everything's a "go" before beta starts right?  After installing I was getting "connection to auth server" errors and also crashes on trying to force launch the game.  Hitting "play now" got me no where, repairing didn't work, nor did changing the region.  What finally got me somewhere was using the pulldown menu on the "aion" tab under "installed" on that left hand menu and selected "check for updates".  It finally patched to 1.5.0.3, did the cinematic and launched the game.  Who knows, maybe the patch servers have been up and down and I just happened to check it at the right time but that's what finally did it.

    Servers go up on Sept 6th kids. Be patient. Also check the thread for when OB launches. 12:00pm EST.

    Ah, thanks for the replies the mature ones minus sarcasm that is... I read the email I got regarding the OB and it says... Friday Sept 6th :)

    Typo on their part  and I didn't read past friday and missed the sept 6th part altogether :)

    hehe-servers aren't open until tomorrow-try then!

    When the game is unavailable to the public you get that message.  Well not just you.  Everyone.  Means just what it says...

    It's 7th September.. still doesn't want to connect to the authorisation server...unless Australia isn't allowed to participate in OB?
