Didnt you know? The different time zones are not from being in a different spot in the world relative to the earth's rotation... They are actually different places in the space/time continuum, and therefore actually take longer to get things.

About a week ago I wasn't that excited about the OB.  I was more a less just excited for the early start.  Now,,, well I'm very excited and I'm counting the hours and minutes till I can jump in and start playing again.  To anyone who has been on the fence about this game.  PLEASE ignore the nonesense about Korean grind and 'WoW' clone comments.  If you enjoy fantasy based games with rich vibrant color schemea's then you will enjoy this game.  The UI, Menus, playstyle, combat combo system, character skill professions all are a breath of fresh air and I seriously doubt you will be disapointed if you go into the game with an open mind.

    Momo sucks, I have proof.

Haha. It's not that it's just NCsoft thinks sweden isnt good enough so they make it available a few hours later. But who can blame them, Americans are clearly the more intelligent race, isn't that right Ztekan (hoping he's from america haha)

EDIT: Just checked his profile - he's from sweden...? lol I think he's just got his time zones mixed up, he's not an idiot - sorry ztekan

I was not excited about the game, then I got REALLY bored, and got excited three days ago. Now, after reading about the open PvP, and random gankfests later on, I am somewhat disheartened. I liked the open world PvP from Warhammer, where it was just certain areas. Not completely open.

Honestly, it would not surprise me if the gaming industry went against Sweden, and made things available slower to them as a punishment for all of the pirating that is based in Sweden, lol.

Aion is not completely open either.  Rifting is really hard to achieve large scale ganking, and small scale ganking doesn't last long.  Also, rifting have limiting factors.  The real open PvP in Aion is in the Abyss, that is the fun free for all PvP zone.  In terms of actually gather enough force to do a larger scale rifting take a while to organize through limited rifts that are open at a given time.   Small rifters usually won't last long as the longer they stay in that area the worst it gets for them.

Truthfully I might not rift too much and focus on the Abyss for all my PvP needs.

It's so unfair that I'm stuck at work today.

    /shakes fist at the heavens

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

4:00pm GMT (because Britain is currently on BST (GMT + 1) - So yeah we start at 5 but I find that the change in name confuses things.
