Isnt it possible...

logangregorlogangregor Member Posts: 1,524

Isnt it possible that the people who know so much about AION after a couple hours are Paid employees from other companies?

It strikes me just a little funny how the naysayers have very few posts but all of a sudden they wish to give us their know it all review.

I guess what Im trying to say is, take the reviews with a grain of salt and do some research for yourself if you havent already done so.

This reminds me of politics, big companies, canidates, misinformation and biased fans.

    Yes, I'm payed by Blizzard.

Also, this was in our backyard yesterday:

No, it's more likely they feel threatened for whatever silly reason or were pissed because they had the misfortune of having some goofball saying their game was bad in every way, shape, and form compared to this one.

They do this shit with every game.  It's annoying although the level some go to is quite amusing.

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

Sadly, most people on forums are just haters, or trolls.

Even if they never even played the game, they will hate on it as if they have.

Alot of the stuff those post speak of are largely wrong and nit picking stuff without actually knowledge of even the most basic system in Aion.

I mean if I want to frame a game for being terrible, I'd wait at least a week otherwise I would look like an idiot.  I would also need actual working knowledge of the game to make proper statements that does not fall apart in seconds.

I better stop here before I give them any more ideas.

    LOL. Nice.

As for your original post, it's possible, but not probable. I think it's just the usual internet traffic: a bunch of asshats trying to ruin other people's days, because they have nothing better to do.

That makes about as much sense as if I were to say that all fanbois are being paid by NCSoft.

I think he's focusing on those posters that just joined (as in today or yesterday) and all their posts consist of trash talking Aion only. A true fanboy would go after everything but his/her favorite game with equal loathing.

Sure, its a far-fetched theory. But its not 100% out of the question that a PR team could do such a thing. Either in favor of, or against, a game.

It is rather "interesting" that all the hate threads are started by people that only joined very recently and have a very low post count. Very suspicious

I doubt anyone is getting paid. Trolls troll for fun but one thing im seeing is people freaking out over problems logging in and servers staying up. I think a lot of people are confused on what beta is. Its to test things like stress on servers but some are thinking of it as free gameplay or part of the headstart.  So some are trolls and some are pissed off fanboys.

protip: beta is for games not yet released anywhere

this is a paid pre-release for north america

I was trying to tell people to have a open mind about possibilities.

Im sure there are paid Fanbois and Im sure there are paid haters.

There is alot of money up for grabs between the mmos.
And once someone chooses a mmo usually they stay awhile.

They are crying because WoW has some legitimate competition now.

Even the Blizzard/Activision CEO said so.

everybody is a noob but you is that it?

check on aion forum theres pages of problem.yes the major onre is outside of aion

hell will they go buy aion even if they cant connect to it

it wouldnt make sense to recommend a game when they cant connect  lol

when there are ton of games that works .better for them to wait till aion resolved the issue

if they ever do(since its not an aion problem)

I would not be surprised a bit.  It is like reverse viral advertising.  I know owners of  games like PWI (perfect world international) and other asian type games are scared shitless about this game.  I could see them signing with a viral ad company to dog the game out.  It would be cheap and somewhat effective to build up a negative air around the game.

Not saying that IS whats happening, just saying it could easily be so.

My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

How is it that someone from Sweden has better English than someone from Canada.

Without capitilization, commas and periods, it can be hard to understand what your trying to say.

Heh for the most part people who are fanboi's or are trolls are genuine and just love or hate the game but make no mistake about it there are paid Shills out there working for the various companies.

The majority of the are just GM's, Community etc who in there spare time will be will be trolling another game at some forum somewhere in a futile attempt to bring that games users to your product or just drive them away from a competitor in general but there are genuine paid fanboi's also.  (its the only explanation for Avery and Aoc :) )

its not new and has been going on since the earliest day's of the MMO and won't end as long as that person/company actually believes that it in any way helps there prodcut.

Would be very interesting to see a Sanya MMo Underbelly article on it :)
