A little off topic, but how cool would it have been if they would of had the size of your character effect your overall stats? Like the huge characters maybe have more hp and damage, but then be slower reflexes and whatever. Average height would give you average stats across the board. Not to fast, not to slow, not to strong, but not to weak. Small/tiny characters have lower hp and damage, but hella fast reflexes and what not.
That way the tiny people may be fast and get a lot of hits in, but doesn't take much to take them down. While at the same time the bigger guys could dish out a lot of damage and take a while to take down, but easy to avoid and get away from. It would make people consider what size their characters would be without having to limit the customization.
I only mind how they walk/run, overall have no problem with them but will have a problem with them if NCSoft does not correct the way they walk/run. Just because they are midgets doesn't mean they need to have their legs move at lighting speed, including that strange sound as if someone is shaking something in some bushes.
Let them walk/run like every none-midget character and I am fine with them.

Well in Aion as with all games for me it is all about the Roleplay.
My character Allora, was 14 when she ascended and its an integral part of her character that she remain childlike in size. You see, past ascension Daeva cease aging. And Allora is rather chafed that she will never be a woman, it is one of the things that rubs her raw, add to that the fact the Elyos slew her father in the Abyss...and well....you have a little girl with a mighty large chip on her shoulder.
My character is not however, as small as you can make them. Looking at adult size, I aimed for about 14-15 year old looks, shorter than an adult but beanpole like as she had just hit a growth spurt. No breasts because she was too young.
Anyways, the point I am trying to drive home is, not everyone who made a shorter character did so for a hit box bonus. And the fact that making yourself small does not minimize your hit box makes it even less an issue in my mind.
Vanguard had a VERY liberal character creator in the beginning. They reigned it in by limiting how extreme you could go. It was against what the developers intented.
It seems in Aion they don't think it is an issue.

............I am just amazed at all the posts here about the size of toons in the game. All from targetting in PVP to the history of the game and how it doesn't fit. Really folks get a grip it's not that big a deal for one,two if you really hate it that much and plan to kill them on site then you will just get better at targetting them and then you will not have a reason to complain,three you gain no advantage from hieght Iwould think because your name and all that crap will still appear above your head so I will still be able to see you, four tab targetting is as good as mouse targetting and you should learn to do both,five.....there are more pressing issues then tiny toons, six I would suggest everyone who wants to run small toons to do so just to piss off the 1% who hate them, seven...some of the views are so one sided that you even go as far to say that because you dont like it personally that it should be changed or you dont like the leg animations because it annoys you. Not only do the mini characters look terribad. Some people have taken the flexibility given in the character creation to make hideously bad characters. Totally destroys the immersion to see some frumpy fat Asmodian with long skinny legs and a huge nose. If this was Sparta, these guys wouldn't survive day 1.
I agree it makes the game look kinda ugly. Some of the features are just taken a little too far to the extreme.. too little for the characters ect. Nothing I can do about it, but I certainly don't like it.

I like how 1.5 increased the radar range and changed enemy player icons so they don't look the same as aggresive monster icons.
And you can just click the enemy PC name to seleect it if it isn't within tab range.
