How is it BS when they have stated they will add game affecting items in the store?
Just because you can spend hours upon hours trying to work for these items still doesnt change the fact that joe blow can just spend $$ and buy it, negating any accomplishment for earning the item.
Also from what I've read the costumes in the store will not be available in game. Maybe they will change there mind after people complain, who knows... have to wait and see how this works out.
I am interested in the game. The videos i have seen and the overall looks of the game calls me to buy it but i have read tons of people who "trash" about the game. Before buying i thought it would be wise to ask the people who plays it what does it have. So whats what you like about the game? Aside of combat what does it offer, social content and professions? What about community and questing system? Are there dungeons/raids? (game has 1 week and i dont expect raids now but do you see them in a future?). I know the game can get repetitive but all the MMOs are that way. What would you say to recommend this game?
I would not recommend it if you are looking at raids. Currently not in ( that I am aware of ) and no plans I know of. I am not a raiding type so... take that comment for what it is worth.
Well monoth I guess if this was a raid based / gear progression game I'd actually give a crap that they "MIGHT" sell items. The fact its a huge "MIGHT" and the game doesn't revolve around "GEAR" and you can craft blue and purple gear and you dont have to "grind" for it kinda nullifies all the boo hooers OMG there's a cash shop that sells pets and it MIGHT sell items too. Game changing could literally mean anything but everyone is assuming gear.
They've never once said the word GEAR. For all yolu know game changing could be a full respec adn you know what..THAT is truely game changing. Infact its the biggest game changer to fully respec. Because for that extra cash you can flavor of the month and pretty much just keep your toon as ungodly with all the OP'd powers. Hopefully though they never ever do this or the price isn't worth doing it more than once every few months.
Meet with my guild and pretty much everyone has decided to move onto Aion because of the lack of group content in Champions Online. There's really nothing in Champions online for guilds to do togeather. I think this summons up pretty good that this is mostly a single player MMO...

FYI Aion did not implement raids and instances 3-4 months after its Korean release. Most people who played the Chinese release went from 1-50 without grouping once. You can't expect group content to be avail upon release, heck i remember half the bosses were still broken in MC what 5 months after WoW release.

That may be true, but there are many rewarding group quests at low levels and some quests are challenging enough to give incentive to group up in World of Warcraft. I wasn't there, but I'm going to assume Deadmines was in WoW at launch.
Sharded servers also don't help with a feeling of community or playing a game online with other human beings rather than a solo game.

Not sure on deadmines but WC and other leaveling instances were available but the quests and loot were broken and were fixed few months into release. Yes the instancing does not help the game and makes it little harder to group with friends but it does show which zone your teammates and friends are at granted they do need to set up a shared LFG system and increase the cap from 100 to 200.
As for quests i have run into a few challenging group quests in this game and have seen plenty of people making groups for them in Champions online.

I would say read this --> www.massively.com/2009/09/07/a-wow-players-guide-to-champions-online/ and if this makes you think twice about buying it, do not. If you think KEWL! Then buy it.
Say hello, To the things you've left behind. They are more a part of your life now that you can't touch them.

No. Absoutely not!
They will tinker with it a long time. Wait until end of the year the earliest!
I wrote a review of Champions ONline
Champions Online: The Review
"Super fun PVE … Super bland PvP..and a Lot of Spandex in Between"
IN the end, despite some initial problems Champions is a good PVE game. If you like CoH when it came out, you will like Champions
Torrential: DAOC (Pendragon)
Awned: World of Warcraft (Lothar)
Torren: Warhammer Online (Praag)
