Gamestop Download Preorder

CalladenCalladen Member Posts: 22

Hello folks.

I tried searching, so forgive me if this information is available.  I'm considering preordering AIon from Gamestop, but I always like to download a game directly rather than mess with driving the whole three miles to my local gamestop.  Is there any expected difference between the downloaded version and the boxed copy?

Particularly, I'm interested in knowing if it would affect the 'head start' the pre-order folks get.  Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I bet your regular client that you've been using will be fine. I mean it's not really a beta since the game has already been released overseas. These "open and closed betas" for Aion are nothing more than a great way to get publicity for little money.

ahh maybe money but its also because they built server over seas and in europe, they are testing servers too... Even if you could use the client from the beta testing, you still need the cd key to run it, so might as well get the game from gamestop, unless there was a way to buy  it from gamespot or something

    playing:Aion, shot online.
    waiting for: Terra
Used to play:wow,EQ,EQ2,Rf Online, lineage II,Raganoke online.

Just make sure to have the box code and you can have a downloaded copy. However, why not just order it online?

Ordered mine directly from NC soft and activated it right then.. DL the open beta client and all done ready to go.. Not sure if I get a disk in the mail but I'm not horribly concerned about that :)   Best way to go if you want it garanteed ready for head start :)

it is better if u pre-order it on nc soft because once u order it they send u the code imediately and this code is also used for the pre-selection and head start. futhermore gamestops dont have codes for now dont no if they gonna have for head start.

at first i went to a gamestop to pre order but i waited for a MONTH but nothing they dont have codes. then i decided to pre-order it on ncsoft.

p.s if  u wanna get to the head start for sure dont pre-order it from gamestops.
