Hehe, I've "experimented" with the highest graphic settings. I'd like to know what these graphics were toned down from, they're amazing (and un-usable).
I am excatly the same way when it comes to turning off the vegetation settings. When I played my gnome in Horizons, I could see where I was going at all if the vegetation settings were on. All I had were blades of grass swooshing by. And I remember doing the same thing with SWG. Just something about how there was just SOOOOOOOOO much vegeation everywhere I went. I couldn't stand it. Some is nice, but not too much.

Oh not me. I kind of wish it wasn't such a performance buster. I'd like to see flora required to be on and used as a gameplay element of sorts. Hiding in the bush, so to speak. It would have to be fun though, not annoying.
I play on the "High Graphics" setting (also check your rez refresh rate...you don't want anything under 75) IMO
Everything looks really good to me at the setting...I actually like it better than the next higher one(can't remember the name...but for some reason it "brightens" up the screen and I don't like it) Perhaps it's because of my card? 9800 non-pro 128mb But again, things look very detailed to me...I saw some amazing armor last night on a few players and while exploring outside the city there was a lot of vegitation and sky effects. The world certainly doesn't look Flat to me.
I looked at the other graphic settings as well and most are maxed out or near it, even at High Graphics setting. So I'd say the better the card to "more" details of the world your going to see!

ps - Does anyone know if you can adjust the size of the on-screen map?
