Okay so these are the games I am trying to decide on, and I know a ton of people are deciding upon them as well. So I thought I would post this so that we all can get a general idea of where the community is going. I've really been looking at Aion, but I want to get more of a community opinion than one from the Aion forums. Thanks y'all. :)

*NOTE* For those complaining that there is a none of the above section I am sorry, but I thought the title would key you in to the content. So why bother come into this thread unless you plan to speak of one of the three? Seems kind of pointless to me. :P

Aion as my main game and CO as my other.

This is probably one of the worst forums for advice/opinions on games tbh. Only 10-15% of people here actually know what they're talking about and aren't trolling.

If you haven't burned out on WoW then it is still a very good and solid game, however I personally am looking for something new. Aion fits that niche for me as I'm very big on PvP, but I still think that as far as western MMOs go, WoW is the staple.

I'm not really a fan of Champion's Online, the whole comic book hero world just doesn't appeal to me. Which leaves me with some very sexy Aion PvP with strong and fluid combat animations (That's important to me).

Yah, I have played WoW for an extremely long time, and I am definitely burnt out on it. I posted WoW for other people interested as well. I definitely understand that these are all different generas, but they are definitely games people are on the bridge about. So I thought this may help not only me but others as well. :P

Champions online is what I'm playing. It has lots more fast paced action and is a lot more fun and less repetitive than Aion.

I really love Aion and would be playing it right now only if i didn't spend 150 bucks on all wow expansions and 2 months pre paid card, which i still have a month left on, so yeh don't wanna waste my money there plus my all my buddies play wow but yeah Aion is a great game. You also might wanna check out fallen earth if your looking for something new

Yeah, but haven't you been making threads for like a week now finding a game you want to play?

That makes no sense, you've been on your account for the past week, unless you share it with someone.

Oh excuse me I did reactivate this account on Thursday. :P But I was only asking around for client installs for aion, not really as to what to play. I didn't start that until I would say this morning. Sorry I've been so busy, I have a terrible memory. Haha.

Too bad you can't pick more than one choice. I'm playing Champions at the moment and will be playing Aion when it is released. Picked Aion for the poll; Mainly because it will be a more polished game at launch :).

I will be playing AION, it is the little things that AION does well like music, character emos,  melee combat (1st mmo that i prefer melee over ranged for some reason).  I played WoW on and off since release and its time to hang up the cleats...iam just burnt out on it, i had 3 80's so i dont wanna make a new toon, i dont like the pvp and iam a pvp person, i dont like raiding much....i would be playing champions if it wasnt so solo =(

    playing: Dragon Age
    Waiting: for FF14, Mass Effect
    Want to try: Fallen Earth

Probably would pick Fallen Earth if I was going to play an MMORPG any time soon.

Pretty lame excuse to start a meaningless poll. So little confidence.

If the game is good you simply don't look around on forums.

Beeen playing Aion OB for a few days and although I don't like many things about the game, it has grabbed me. I don't know what it is but I feel like loggin in an playing Aion. Tonight at 3 am Aion beta had already ended so I went to play my 80 char in WoW and it felt so old and bland... not a world at all just jumping from dungeon to dungeon... So I already have cancelled WOW and bought Aion, which will be my third MMO after EQ and WOW.

I do think Aion it's the first nail in WOW's coffin. Not it's killer, just a first nail right now.

  • AxehiltAxehilt Member RarePosts: 10,504

I might be playing all 3.  Girlfriend still plays WOW so I finally spent the time to hit 80 on the warrior on her server.  Champions I'll stick with if combat gets out of its incredibly shallow streak from levels 7-22 (where you have the option of amping up one skill so much that it becomes basically the only thing you use for each fight.)  Aion I've dabbled in beta as a result of pre-ordering, but time will tell if it's worthwhile.

aion is the flavor of the month lol of corse it will get the vote

but for now this game is like all other game that have been released in the past 3 years i,its the flavor of the month

trying to make player believe its something else is funy,

rune of magic has as much chance of being the next big ,as ddo f2p as as much chance of being the next big too

the only thing that could make player change their mind is the fact that ncsoft might be moreactive in aion

thats their trump card!if ncsoft organise stuff in the game like live event or whatever they cook up

then yes they got the possibility of being the top game of for the next 12 month

but from the way blizzard went at blizzcon,it looks like aion wont even be a danger to them(wow)and by the time ncsoft

finally realise it blizzard will have released cataclysm ,so anything ncsoft make happens when cataclysm is released will be too little too late because after that player will go back to wow

Yea when you perform a combo in Aion it actually feels like a combo and that's just bloody fun when you pull it off. Almost makes me wish there was a combo counter.

I will be playing Aion and CO, just got CO today but I believe i'll be playing aion the most depending on my mood.

    This is not a game.

I ll be playing Aion for at least a few months . I m also very interested in Champions but i m going to wait untill i ve leveled a character on Aion before i try that also . I m just plain disallsioned with Blizzards and burnt out by Warcraft so i think its going to be quite a while before i even think about trying that again . ( The Cataclysm seams more of the same to me in that it does nt address the real issues that are leading me to give up WoW after 4 and half years ) .

You left out Darkfall Online.  Bad poll.
