Fileplanet Contest

Did anyone else enter the fileplanet key give away? I was watching the vault, and when It finally announced that the keys were out, I went there and I tried signing up about 20 times, every time I got an error. Then the keys were gone. Ive got a fileplanet subscriber account, and everything shouldve worked, I was one of the first ones there. I figure It must have been a common problem.. Same thing happened during yesterdays key give away. Did anybody get one of the 4500 EQ2 keys through fileplanet, or any fellow losers like me?

    I just tried there today, i was so happy to see the link to get my beta account from fileplanet. Then i noticed, i had to be a f***ing fileplanet suscriber to get it. I kept trying and trying, hoping there was another way... But a few short minutes later, the keys were gone. God, im so depressed after this. If only i was a suscriber i would have had a spot in the beta now.... im gonna go cry imageimageimageimageimage

    Hey Silver,

    Sorry to hear you weren't able to get a key. I am also a fileplanet subscriber and got many error messages while trying to signup and get my key. On the 9th or 10th try (and mind you each try took forever given the amount of traffic hitting the site) I was successful and got a key.

    Unfortunetly you didnt do anything wrong. The error you ran into is all Fileplanets fault, due to not being able to support the mad rush of people going through a small window. One of many reasons alot of people arent found of fileplanet.

    Congrats on getting into the beta Sanven. If it makes you feel any better metalfoxus, you wouldnt have gotten in even if you were a subscriber, I didnt. That said, you sound like you could use a hug.. and so could I.

    Yes unfortunately it would appear that the file download is going to take just over 18 hours if I am to believe the downloader's time estimate.

    I got mine also, I've been hitting F5 since 9 this morning.
    5 hour download though. ::::06::

    Well 5 hour download is better than my 18 hour download =)

    Aload of crap in my views, i tried all 3 days to get into the contest, me and my friend both tried within the minute of keys been up and all i got was that error emsssage on all 3 days, but on the 3rd day my friend was late and tried a few mins after keys were avaliable and got in, Seems like a pure con to me.

    Technical problems do not amount to a "pure con".

    Im not a fileplanet fan myself, but it isn't a con. With the amount of people I saw in the Commonlands last night, the beta literally doubled in size.

    Congrats to those that got in. ::::20:: I missed it altogether. Came late to the party. I would have never thought they would have the drawing so early...at least for those of us on the PST.

    hehe maybe im just unhappy to of attempting to win the beta key well within the time limit, but fileplanet having servers that cant support the poeple causing me to miss out on the beta :(

    Well i preordered it earlier this week anyway, so i gues sills ee you guys then.
