I love Aion, but nothing is ever perfect. If you could change 3 things...what would they be?
1. Stat descriptions when you hover over them with your mouse in the character window. ( like Wisdom, etc... )
2. Better English skill voices. OMG they SUCK!
3. PLEASE don't make my long hair vanish when I put a helmet on!!!! This is one of my biggest complaints with MMO's!!!
What would you change? And please keep it civilized...
Long Ago - Dark Age of Camelot, Guild Wars
Now - Aion
Looking Forward To - SW: TOR, GW2, FF14
Will Never Touch Again - WoW
Smashed Hopes - Vanguard

Have to agree with your first one. some of the stats are obvious but some of them i'm not sure what they do really. here's mine.
1. I'd like to be able to make a fat character so I'd like a bar to increase belly size.
2. The asmodian areas from what i've seen are not dark enough i'd like to see them darker or maybe more light posts around to make it seem like a darker place.
3. in the private store i'd like to be able to modify it while its started instead of having to stop it first.
Since the question is changes, rather than what I wish had been different:
To elaborate on point one, current the game adds a hidden bonus to higher level characters when fighting lower level characters, that has nothing to do with gear, attributes, etc... Starting at 2 level s higher, the higher level toon gets a 10% base chance, (beyond normal resists and mitigations), to avoid skills and attacks by the lesser opponent. So, if you are fighting someone five levels higher, they will completely ignore 40% of all your attacks and skills targeted on them. The other 60% then face their normal evade/parry/block and resist chances. So, an extremely well geared level 25 may have better stats than the level 30, but be barely able to land a blow or a skill on the higher level opponent. Most MMORPGs have something like this, but they usually level off the curve vs. the numbers they use for NPC encounters. Say a 5% fudge factor for each level, instead on 10%.
Point two, there is a rift free zone, post level 20, for each faction. However, the level break down is a small section of that zone with grinding content (and a few quests) for levels 20-25, with the rest being for levels 45-50. Do levels 45-50 need a rift free zone? Even though the zones have a few quests and some repeatable quests, they are designed mostly for grinding, for those looking to avoid PvP. It would be good to offer an addition zone for grinding levels 25-45, for those times when people just need a break from PvP. The grind would be too much to do continuously, so very few people would use these zones to completely escape PvP, it would just be an escape valve for when people have an hour and want to ensure they can be productive.
Point three, inventory is very restrictive in this game, but it's made much worse by all the quest items that end up taking up valuable inventory space. Most recent MMORPGs have evolved to have a separate quest inventory. No good reason or excuse not to have the same here.

there actually already is a nonrift zone that starts around 22, can do at 20 but a lil tough.
for me number 1 issue is the ??? for the level display for players in pvp,
2 give rangers more bow attacks at the lower lvls
3 english voices just suck, well not sure they suck since i did recognize a few of them form anime in wich i liked the voice actor. they just have them saying retarded things. the shugo deffinitly needs to go.
i believe one was ed from fullmetal, and another i KNOW was prince Zuko from avatar (skunk colored haired kid from Hook),ichi go from bleach think another i recognized.
spiritmaster pets can fly in the new patch they added on the korean test server like last week, we'll get it, just don't know when.
1- Send me back to the character select or login screen when I disconnect, not close my client out completely
2- The mouse movement still needs a little bit of work, but I think they are working on it already
3- More flyable areas in leveling zones
1. Allow for PvP access earlier than around lvl 20.
2. More depth in the starter areas either additional zones or whatever so the idea of making alts doesn't seem like a drag.
3. Donate money to the non profit organization I am starting to assassinate all botters/hackers so gathering materials doesn't have to be made even more annoying than it already is.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
1- Allow changing of sales prices while personal shop is open, and add a BUYING tab, like many other games.
2- Add some other sort of customization other than gear and stigmas. I am not saying "talents", but SOMETHING for me to personalize my char a bit.
3- Allow Left Click mouse look to work at the same time as "Move when both mouse buttons clicked with the ability to also turn".
Those are my top three. Number three is a minor annoyance, but really does annoy me quite a bit at times.
1) More starting areas. I'm an altoholic, and it's going to get annoying doing the same 1-10 quests over and over.
2) Visual customization for craftables, I really like it when the things I craft have an extra layer of customization both statistically and visually, even if it requires different mats.
3) More low level group content. I've only leveled a few characters in beta, and none past lvl 16, but I never needed to group for anything, I want more incentive to be there. Doesn't necessarily have to be a must have either, just perhaps a quest to kill that big Ice guy outside of altgard when I get there. Otherwise when are we going to be introcuded to the group mechanic?
MMOs played: Horizons, Auto Assault, Ryzom, EVE, WAR, WoW, EQ2, LotRO, GW, DAoC, Aion, Requiem, Atlantica, DDO, Allods, Earth Eternal, Fallen Earth, Rift
Willing to try anything new
1. Remove completely the annoying Korean "AHHH!" voices from the game. When choosing my characters voice style i expect to hear it whenever i do something/talk....not some testosterone impaired voice-over....
2. Chanters: While Mantras stack....Blessing don't.... That's absurd. The ridiculous proc rates on blessings make them ignorable enough as it is...and not allowing them to stack? IMO: Raise the proc rate on Wind to AT LEAST 10%, and Earth to 20%....or make them stack....c'mon....
3. What exactly are +Acc manastones for? It only applies to your hit rating (instead of what the stat of Accuracy increases in the character menu)....has anyone actually MISSED yet in this game?
#3 is already fixed to do that, on the last patch (2nd to last day of open beta).
1. Open Clan based PvP rather than RvR type. I prefer to pvp Lineage 2 style than DAoC style.
2. Return to Login when disconnect.
3. Ability to customize your wing design.
1. Game guards kills my G15 keyboard - I'd change that.
2. Failed login should not exit game.
3. Bag space should have allowance for quest gear and a separate bag for manastones.
1) Get rid of GameGuard, there must be a better way to limit botting
2) Client should allow retrying connection to authorisation server, not exit like now
3) Separate "bags" for quest items
I'd add things that are not just about leveling. Yeah, PvP is great, and pve at end game after doing pvp is nice. But what about after that? Where is the fluff.
I'd add fluff :P
Early on +acc is fairly useless. From all reading, higher level pvp it will be required for some casters (mainly SM's) due to high levels of resist gear. And to answer your question, Yes, My SM actually missed (and resists) a fair number of times in the teens.
My Three things I would like changed.
1. Server connection at log in, take me back to the login screen, not exit the client.
2. No game has really done this yet, heavy armor wearers always get the best looking gear. I really feel that cloth wearers are extremely under rated when it comes to gear. I know its not pretty shiny metal, but come on, the mmo devs really need to give cloth wearers more love in clothing choices. I have seen some videos of high end cloth gear and yet, still not that impressed.
3. Class specific. SM's really should be able to command their pets when they are sitting down or casting a spell. Just one of those annoying things for me.
For me the eight characters allowed total should be changed. Its not right!
