Regarding the next "expanion", what happened to the weather from the last expansion? Where are the much touted subscriber-only boards? ~Ripper
Weather had only one function. To fuel haters complaints about "not promised content" for somthing so unimportant like weather. Now that is in and working no one mentions..guess was to fluff and not important eh ?
I hope the subscribers boards come and cut out all the hater grief coming from trolls.
I thought the weather idea was a novel concept. Have weather affect your field of view when no radar or auto target is involved could bring a lot of new strategy to the game. You wouldn't cast or shoot from miles away when it's pouring down rain for example because you can't see more than a few feet in front of you.
Yeah, that was the idea of how it's supposed to work.
Unfortunately it's been a mixed bag as to what each player actually sees on their screen. For some the visibility is next to nil. For others standing right next to them... they can still see for "miles".
Also the transition from one weather pattern to the next is like walking through an invisible wall.
With the type of aiming and combat that DarkFall has, the weather COULD be a big impact on a battle. But, as others have mentioned... it's still a work in progress. I will give them credit though, as it seems they are still trying to get it working.

Dude, if you are still playing Darkfall, it's a clear indication you havn't played many other games. As DFO is absolutely one of the worst MMO to ever been released.
Of the 325k registered members @ Forumfall and some 200k beta apps, only 10k play worldwide. It's because those people understand that the game has no future... so character building within a game that holds no future is futile and ignorant!
Darkfall is an utter flop and will always remain so... Aventurine (Tasos Flambouras) is inept and they move at a very slow and with no direction.

The direction of Darkfall is pretty clear and Aventurine improves the experience with everyday. Darkfall already is the best game in the market right now and offers the most intense experience, and most fun combat in an MMO.
btw don't you have paid for to test an alpha game. Go back to your work -sort out the horrid bugs and most stupid reasons making servers crash every 10 minutes - you have paid for -speaking for not the brightest bulb in the box sort of people - haha

Is the information in the thread below incorrect?
Weather system still broken??
I think is time to refer to some popular forum entries on the official board :
players that quit_should revise their_decision
"With the extreme increase in communication from AV about patches, future plans etc in the community spotlight section as well as constant patches with fixes and new content I urge old players to come back. Anyone else agree? I feel hope for Darkfall that I didn't before.
