Fallen Earth is amazing

I'm currently lvl 20 and still having a blast in this game, I generally don't like quest(or mission in this case) run games but boy there is much more to do in Fallen Earth than other themepark games.

Infact a good example would be how majority of people joins in-game economy of the game from the very start. In my opinion this pretty much says good design because in most of the themepark games you start effecting the economy in much late levels.

Anyway I would recommend this game to everyone but I won't because this is not your cookie cutter MMO and most of the people won't like it. So instead let me tell you about my old favorite MMOs so that you can make up your mind about whether you will like Fallen Earth or not.

I loved UO(trammel UO that is), Pre-nge SWG, EvE and Ryzom. Now most of the games I list are sandbox games but don't let this fool you, unfortunately Fallen Earth isn't a completely sandbox game it is more like a combination of some themepark elements and sandbox elements mashed inside a MMO. Nevertheless I had fun in FE very much like in other sandbox games I list there, so if you loved any of the games I list then don't be afraid to try the Fallen Earth!

Oh and as a side note unfortunately Fallen Earth still got lots of memory leaks and graphical bugs, this was the worst aspect of the game for me and it will be the worst aspect for many other players nevertheless the game is so much fun I'll wait for Icarus studios to fix those problems while playing and supporting this game.

I tried the closed beta and played for about 10 hours overall. It was good but it still needs months of improvements (bugs, improved shooting etc.) to be a contender with the top MMOs.

I fully agree with you. Fallen Earth is a lot of fun and offers endless crafting action. But sure not a game for every one.

I may check out Fallen Earth when it's in a better condition. Currently it probably doesn't offer enough to sustain me, but it is a good idea and I hope that over time it fleshes out well so I can check it out. Memory leaks are a serious problem with me, so I hope they get that stuff squared away fast.

Cheers to hoping Fallen Earth is successful in the long run!

that is just it, they are not trying to compete with the "top mmos" they are actually going more at the  niche market just as eve online did back in 2003.  While they do have bugs to improve etc, shooting is fine however. works just like any other FPS for me.
