The peak of my desperation...

in World of Warcraft

I think I may have outdone myself as far as my anticipation for this game goes...Sure, maybe we all have 6GB+ of video of this game (just to live vicariously watching OTHER PEOPLE play...).  Maybe we've all downloaded the client and keep it updated "just in case I get a key even though I failed to get one the last 5 attempts."  Maybe we've all read and re-read the entire history of Warcraft and its heroes' bios to keep the knowledge fresh...image

Maybe its just me?  I find myself reading anything that has the word "Warcraft" in it, hoping to calm my cravings for this digital drug...but one hit just isnt enough as of recently...I need more.  And so, I search the internet, visiting the same sites, reading the same posts, studying the same Talent Calculator, planning out my same character (again and again), war-gaming situations I may face when I finally play the game...

...which brings me to this stage, the realization.  I finally caught myself thinking "WHAT am I doing?!"  This most recent act of desperation, is none other than reading the credits (from the beta client).  Not just seeing them scroll, but reading each name and what they did...I came to this realization about 5 minutes into it, but even then couldnt stop reading, and finished the entire list.

Well, I know I have a problem, but my only worry is finding things to do to bide my time until I am able to play the game myself (Guild Wars will tide me over for a few days).  Here are a few of my favorite 'Thanks' from the credits that rolled:

    I so thought "Oh freakin' great another whinner thread..." but nope For one of the FEW times, a thread made me laugh. I just sat back and chuckled for a few minutes and thought one thing when I was done.

    Thank Goodness not EVERYONE here is a whinner that won't shut up about the waiting for OB.

    And most of all thank you KenjiWB for brightening my day a little...

    Heh, get used to the whining, cause it will continue till OB is released. Then if someting isn't right in the OB, that will be something else they'll come here to whine about. Even probably after that they'll find yet another thing to whine about OB...... The posts of whining continues on. *Shakes his head and rolls his eyes*

    That was amusing hehe...anyway..

    As for the OB, all the whiners will continue once they get in with: "Why cant soandso be nerfed? he is more Uber than me?"

    ..and others along that line. It will NEVER stop so prepare hehe.

    At least 85% of the 12 yr olds will be gone cause they wont have a credit card to play once it goes P2Pimage

    and there should be an Invention that detects age thru your mouse (I know this is 50 yrs away) so when anyone grabs a mouse the system detects it and compares it to a game rating (In the case of WOW it wontmatter since its TEEN I think) and shuts off if you dont meet the ESRB. LOL image

    It does sound dumb but I am bored as usual at work and it just came to mind hehe.

    LOL funny tho I was never waiting for OB.. LOL

    Now I got a longer wait.. ah well there is EQ2 to kill some time as well as GTA:SA
