You could send a "smile" to someone you were interested in. Then you could email them using lavalifes email system. This required purchasing points from lavalife, so all you did was send your outside email or phone number. At first I felt it was a waste. I'd get tons of smiles, start to talk to them and not joking but I'd say 90% of the women were single mothers who were separated or divorced. Another very annoying factor was the women who would put up a picture that was from 10 years ago. The webpage at the time was split into three sections, Friendship, Relationship, and Intimate Encounters (basically sex). I'd recommend browsing all three because some woman post profiles in each with different information. For example one girl I conversed with daily who wanted to set up a date I learned also had a profile in the intimate encounters. I went and found that after having set up a time to meet me was still asking for dates there, which included girls... If the site is free, take it with a grain of salt. Its no better than happy hour=) But if you have to spend 2 hours or more setting up a profile and have to take a psychology test, AND pass just to be accepted, and pay a fee, its legit. I had a freind who failed the test because his answers were too conflicting...since he was a little whacked, I wasn't surprised. They denied him. Eharmony is for real. You'll still find your jokers I'm sure, but everyone I met on there was serious. I fully endorse it.

I have, however, run across a couple of sites dedicated to matching up people who are into MMORPG's, the only one I've registered on so far is mmo-love<dot>com, but no luck yet...it doesn't look like very many people have registered yet, but figured it's worth a shot. I'll probably give some other sites a shot if this one doesn't pan out. Also, I've heard of PlentyofFish<dot>com, but haven't tried it out yet either. I met my wife in an MMO. We met when there was a new patch in the MMO we had played and we were guildmates. We were trying out the new fashion and suddenly we both just want to take screenshots and after the end of the day we asked each other if we can meet up. I won't ever forget about that MMO game which made me think that MMO's are really like dating sites but more fun and interesting.
