As many blizzard fans are probably going to be the main focal point to this project, I was curious as to which blizzard game would have made the best MMORPG. Which do you think?
Definitely Warcraft... even though the others would have probably made good MMORPG´s, warcraft is without a doubt the no 1 choice for an MMO according to me...
The main problem with createing a Diablo MMO is that the base class structure and power has been preset by the preceeding games, and those classes would not be balanced even in a PvE enviroment. Changeing those would upset the commmunity, which in all reality isn't a big deal to be truthful, and as well would be little more trouble and effort than createing a whole new enviroment and structure like they did with WoW.

Star craft would be an interesting MMORPG, but i have to go iwht the WarCraft universe. The warcraft universe is atleast one of fantasy therefore continuing that type of universe that has been so apparent in all other RPG's. Star craft would be a little too out of the norm for some RPG players.
Having played all three of these games extensivly, I'd say, if Blizzard wanted to make an MMORPG out of any of them, they could do so successfully(I think.). The storyline they have in place for warcraft, perhaps is the most expansive, having WoW as the 4th installment. The storyline has stayed rather constant over the past 3 games. (which is not to say it didn't over SC/BW or Diablo/II/IIx) I think, overall, I see the storyline of WC being the easiest to expand into a MMORPG setting, although Diablo II wasn't all that far away, as they could expand the game itself to include some of the creatures as PC classes, and have a setup instead of Hoard vs. Alliance, have Hell vs (heaven/earth). I think starcraft would also translate well into MMORPG's, although I'm not sure that Tactacal Nuke strikes would go over that well Perhaps I just have a love for the midieval and magic, as opposed to the tech and future science. I'm confident, after the first bugs are worked out, that pretty much any game blizzard really commits to will be exceptional, as I've found SC, WC and Diablo all to be.
