Good Class/Race for Solo Dungeon

I am sorry to all those who don't think forums are the correct play to ask for class/race suggestions or like the idea of playing a mmorpg solo. Sorry but not everyone can play for long periods of time and has had the oporunity to play beta to try out the new stuff!

 When I played EQ my character was a  mage type that was completely worlthless solo at level 24. I tried starting a new character at but was well below the others in level and it made it hard to group and buy items. In short EQ I would like to avoid this experiance with EQ II.

I'm looking for suggestions from people who have been in beta concerning classes and races that will work good for solo, especially in dungeons and hopefully will work in groups when I have the time.

Currently I'm thinking of heading towards:

-Kerra Monk, cats fight good with their paws

-Paladin, although it seems most of the spells are group oriented and will not work for solo

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

For Dungeon play, you will be very hard press to solo as many mobs in there link.

I never seen a solo in a dungeon yet while in beta...well, I have...but they ended up dieing next our groups
