...Do the Cannith Manufactory (sp?) a few times and pick the Curative Cloak as a reward. They heal once per day, BUT, they do not share the same cooldown timer! If you have 4, for example, you call use all 4 in an emergency and then the following day they will have recharged.
I know the Hireling Cleric is amazingly cheap and lasts a long time, and can also be made to use the Rest Shrine stones to replenish hp/mana and even rez if you have their Soulstone, but a bit of free healing in your backpack never comes amiss. Particularly for the more squishy classes. Maybe get a couple of the Feather Fall Cloak, too.
I would presume the same thing applies to the neck item that gives 10-35 mana points per lvl/day, from Misery Peak, but haven't tried that yet.

Why dont you play a cleric ?
Note the phrase "in an emergency" in the first paragraph of my original post
ALL characters, even a Cleric, can have an emergency, and Clerics need to watch Mana too.
EDIT: I have noticed tonight that the Curative Cloaks and the Archivist's Necklace, have recharged after every Quest! On the tooltip they say they recharge per DAY, so I'm wondering if they do this only on Korthos Island? Must check.
Being an MMO instead of Pen and Paper 1 day is basically the time between each rest shrine you use (1 minute in a tavern will also recharge your #/day items). With Mod 9 (DDO:EU) you are completly rested after exiting a completed quest as well.

Yes, I noticed the Rested state after a Quest run. Well, I certainly won't need to buy any potions for a while then! The Cloaks will do very nicely indeed for now.
Run the catacombs (atleast thats where I got it) to get an "Eternal wand of cure minor wounds", good to have when you really need some healing that never runs out
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
I'll certainly be looking out for that one.
You can also farm the starting light healing potions in the Collaborator Quest (in the tavern.) It's quick enough that you can easily get a stack without spending the money to buy the same off a vendor.
Yes, I know about those, but they are consumed on use, whereas the Cloaks recharge after every Quest. I never need to rerun Quests merely for potions any more while I'm on Korthos.
Biggest issue i got is repairing items seems to be a helluva lot more expensive then when i was subscribed many years ago. And i know fighting the slimes puts a big hurt on weapon repairs.
Use your fists, or get a club
