I love the way this game sounds, with more in depth crafting, the setting is appealing to me, skill based and all of that good stuff. The armored cars with headers popping out the hood and machine guns strapped to the side helps. It really seems like the Mad Max MMO, which is awesome.
With this, as much as I love the setting, I like seeing other people, I don't want it to look like it's after an apocalypse or anything.
So, I come to ask (hopefully those who actually play the game), how's the overall population right now?
Also, while we're here, is there a big negative point I'm missing?
Thank You,
- Eric

I'll have to take that a fair statement, being I see you don't much like the game, I can take most bias out of your post.
Thank You, I think I may buy this one.

Right now in the S1 areas, it is very well populated almost to populated for my tastes. but it is new so everyone is in the same places so this should even out as people progress or people start to leave whichever happens is yet to be seen
Well, there was spawn hunting in every low level quest hub yesterday, that thing is for sure...

asking about the pop in the first week is a pretty bad question. It always changes dramatically over the first month or so of release
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
Aye, it's very well populated in the first area, almost crowded in some places. Then again, that will slowly lessen and then the population will still be good...
I loved this game when i first started to play but now Ive just cancelled my account, because of a few things i dont like about the game.
1. If your a euro player your going to get lots of lag when in towns, Euro players are asking for a Euro server but nothing has been said, i dont understand the tech side of it but the US players are getting a better deal .
2. Downtime, if your a Euro player the downtimes will be around 2 ET which is about 7-8pm GMT-1. Now for the last 3 evenings i have'nt been able to play FE because of the downtimes. The trouble i have is when i get home from work i only have a few hours of game play before i need to goto bed and get up early for work, so i dont believe i should pay for a game when im not going to be able to play it when i can.
3. Bugs, the game is full of them still, im standing in front of an NPC attacking him and i see a message on the screen saying, you are to far away to attack, then the NPC jumps to the point where he should be , been getting alot of that.
4. Missions, everyone one in the S1 area( starter towns ) are all trying to do the same quests, which mean when you come to do yours you have about 5-6 players waiting / jumping in to attack the same NPC for the mission, and if that mission is in a town your going to leg loads of lag.
Point being this game is just not finished .

I played last night from the EU and i had no lag even in the towns. They have said that they will open a EU server with free transfer from the US one.
The game is new as with all MMOs so will be buggy, if you want a brand new game with less bugs then Aion will be your best bet, as it has been out in Asia already. Even major producers release buggy MMOs, not right but it happens a lot.
Complaining that a new MMO has bugs is so old now, even MMOs that are 1 year old have bugs, If dont like bugs dont buy brand new mmos, i thought everyone knew that already!!!!
Too many people waiting to do missions and people complain, dont see anyone people complain. I perfer that there are too many people tbh than none at all, i just wait my turn whilst i familiarise myself with my stats etc.
Cancelling your sub due to the reason you have given tells me you don't really like the game, or dont like it enough to put with the niggles you mention, which is fair enough. Or you expect a polished finished product from a small indy producer which is never going to happen, at least not in the next 10 years.
Many great games start out like this, look at Eve, in 2003 it was similar GameSpot gave 5.5 lol, look at it now..........
Try Aion i am sure it will be polished and bug free!
Im telling my side of the game , if you guys get a better game than me then good for you you need to put your side across
for me the game is'nt finished with 3 evening of downtime and im sure more to come.
my pc is running a intel duecore 3.GHz, with 4 GB of ram and 2 Nvidia 8800 GTX in SLI mode, so i think my pc can handle the game.
tell me would you buy a new TV if it had a few pixlies missing on the screen ? If i buy something new i would like it to be finished and ready to use. To say its expected in a new mmo is the problem lol If more people were to complain about an unfinished game then we might get more games coming that are finished ( but then thats just how i see things ) lol
As for cancelling my Sub, i dont want to pay for a game im not happy with now.

You need to stay away from any MMO Launch then. I've been through my fair share of launches, and FE has been one of the smoothest I've seen yet. It also is fairly finished to other games I've seen as well. Not the most finished launch I've seen by far, but it's better than alot. WAR & Vanguard come to mind just thinking about the most recent. Vanguard's price tag was alot more than FE too.... that's for damn sure. Idk what it cost to make FE, but I'm pretty sure it didn't cost 40mil, and it's way more finished than that was on release.
Aion on the other hand, isn't "New". It's new in the West, but it's been released for almost a year. Comparisons to that are invalid. It just had a language change.

I miss all players that quit the MMO I currently play, makes for an emptier world which is never good.
I play from Sweden and so far I have had no lag issues at all, none!
Bugs, I keep seeing in general chat that a lot of people are experiencing problems with getting credit for finished quests. I haven't had this or any other problems myself yet.
Overall I think it is a pretty solid launch, much better than, for instance, Vanguard which I personally thought was playable even on release (just so you know where you have me).
Really glad to see this game is doing well. Great concept and had some seriously good ideas when I played it in CB and OB.
I just wish I had more time to play it. Nowadays I need a more casual game and this one requires some time inv4estment that I cannot afford.
