Group Formations

in Everquest II

While watching one of the eq2 videos it looked like the group was locked in a formation. I'm not sure if they were but thats how it looked.  I personally don't think formations would be very fun except in E&B where they were useful. Does anyone know whether your stuck in group formation?

    I don't think so. Maybe they were on assist ? Or NPC's ?

    I am not in beta but i am pretty confident that it is a no.

    Formations are more for single player games where you need to control a group.
