This isn't really about FE but I was playing FE when it occured to me.
I am not a role player, at all. But I do like to have role players around me in my game world, I don't know why but I guess they add depth, even if I'm not part of it, more atmosphere.
Anyway, my point, I do have one. In game last night I watched a group of players near the science place (university I think) just discussing their local town and how things had changed recently etc etc (rping) and at first didn't really notice or take an awful lot of notice. Then I thought about other games I'd played with rp'ers around. When encountering it in SWG again I just felt comfortable with it, but when in WoW or CoH it kinda weirded me out. For some reason there was something wrong with knowing some bloke playing a elf was playing that char, I know its odd but its just the way it is.
Not much of a point afterall, but I just thought it was notable that in some games for me it was a major plus and in others a major turn off.
