Not Really What I Expected...

So, I decided to give DDO a try...why not right?...I mean, it's free... Anyway, I actually really enjoy it. Now, I'm not hard to impress as far as MMO's go, but I actually I'm finding DDO one of the better MMO's I've played.
I had heard the population jumped when it went f2p, but I didn't expect it to be so crowded... Not that it's a bad thing, but, wow!... There are hella people...
Anyway, just wanted to say that I am really enjoying it thus far, and people who are interested should try it...

I'm on Sarlona and have never had any troubles grouping at 3 to 4, possibly because I use the LFG feature a lot.
As an aside, I have noticed a (very refreshing) trend where people who spam "LFG..." in General Chat get ignored or flamed by everyone else or even actually /squelched forever. Anyone using caps is also routinely flamed, ignored or /squelched too.
(I'm not saying that YOU do any of that, btw - just commenting)
from 1-4 in the starting island was quite easy to find group in LFG but since u go to harbor for 4+ dungeon seems none want to group, or at least not in the time i play, so maybe i give it a 3rd shot

You might try the Cannith server. Its a new server they brought up just for the re-release. Since you can't transfer your character over to it, its nothing but people that had to start over. Should be easy to find a group for level 4+.

I'm playing Sarlona, and I havent had any problem getting groups at harbor for 3rd-4th level. There seems to be tons of people grouping!

Yeah I've been playing this for a couple of weeks now and having a great time. The game is stable, well done and fun. People? Oh hell yeah, LOTS of people. I really didn't expect this many. If you are looking to group it should not even be a problem. Yeah i think this game is going to be around for a long time yet.

Ghallanda its a really good server if you want a high population server, I find grp's very fast if i want to go for Hard/Elite mode

Yea there are always tons of LFMs up on Cannith, most are for lvl 1-8 but its not very hard to get a good group for higher level quests. 9 instances of harbor and 7 instances of Marketplace isnt very uncommon now
I really think the game starts to shine at about lvl 6. Korthos is great but when you get to the Harbor there is alot of sewers and kobolds for a couple of levels... But after that the dungeons become much more interesting.

I'm on Thelanis and its pretty crowded now. I came back (literally round four) and was surprised to find that they had actually made the game much friendlier to the casual/solo/PUGer like myself....I was with this game at launch and tried again two more times, but could never get past 1-2 months and never, ever to level 6 without frustration. Suddenly the game's much more interesting and I'm finding it possible to flesh out my solo games with henchmen, or group a bit more easily. So yeah, I'm back to a paying VIPer.

I am playing on Argonesen and Khyber ... and to lesser extent on Sarlona.
Getting groups gets harder as you pass +4 barrier . But with so many people playing is just mather of opening LFG menu and inviting people.
Got my first char to 700 favor and lv 12 before I rerolled(wanted to do same thing, just get it in diffrent order) and I NEVER had problems getting groups(Like, NEVER, either put up a party and id have a full group inside 5 min, or if I sent out a random 'LFG' i'd get an almost instant invite) - On sarlona.
And lv 12 inside 2 weeks, isn't so bad(I do grind though so consider that a month for teh casual player i think)
Really think they did a very good job with D&D and how its been re-released.
