I was playing the game last night and saw a message that said go to http://na.gmaiononline.com to claim some in game prizes. I seen a lot of bots in this game, but this message looked like one of the messages the GM's write in the game and it has no one to block, so i thought it was legit. I went to the site this morning just to see what it was and it looks just like the normal aion website and it said to log in and it would enter you in for a drawing of some sort and give you some in game stuff. So like an idiot i did it not thinking about it being a scam. I logged into the game afterwards and while i was playing it kicked me saying someone else logged in with my account. So I started to freak out and tried to find a number or something to call on the support site to see if i was just hacked or whatever. I didn't find anything so i just changed my password to maybe stop it. I've been playing some since and haven't had any problems, but just want to know if anyone else did this and had problems, or if this is a scam site. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm sure i'll get a lot of "your stupid" replies, but i am really worried about the possibility of my account getting stolen or hacked or worse.

if u changed ur password your fine the scammer no longer has access to your account gg
For your knowledge, in the future do not visit any site you see posted in-game. For official events and freebies, you can usually verify the validity of it on the official forums or front page of the main official site and not a spoof containing www.coolbeansaion.com(sorry :O )
I'd change your PW to your email for the extra measure and keep a constant look out for the next couple of days.
Think how different the Internet in general would be if people stopped believing you can get free things. No more virus, no mor malware, spam would dwindle to the idiots that believe they can buy bigger genitals, smallers butts and lose 300 pounds while eating 20,000 calories per day if they only give us their credit card number.
Humans is number 1 reason I do not believe in god. He cant possibly be that stupid to make something that stupid.
I might also add, that hackers, scammers copy the EXACT webpage ,then reuse them, only when you sign or login you are actually linked to their site to steal your info.Always at the very least look in the ADDRESS bar to see,to see if it is the legit site.
I would say GM's will NEVER send an in game tell, and prizes you may win from a game, most likely sent through your email.Aion is a hyped game, this is the target that RMT and hackers, cheats go after.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
You need to report this to NCSoft...
People make mistakes. I work in IT and I see people who have been scammed on the internet regularly. We can endlessly educate people, but scammers will always get more creative. The most important thing you can do is send everything you can remember to NCSoft, so that they can work on getting that site shut down, find out how somebody used GM text, and try to warn other people.
Deep breaths.
Amen to that...spoken eliquently by the human.
