Having fun -- Have a progression question

Rankin357Rankin357 Member Posts: 8

So I decided to take the gamble and so far im enjoying it. however I did have a simple progression question --

Is the leveling progression meant to be a little slower than other games, I've been on the verge of being a powergamer since UO days, peak was in Pre Cu Jedi but coming to FE I feel retardedly slow at leveling. A full night and afternoon later im barely level 5. I've been hovering around the Terance town trying to do what ever I can - random quests and mostly grinding. Any pointers or tips?

    Multitask. Harvest, craft+ kill mobs.

It took me a short time to pick up how things worked, and it flowed from there. The first few levels are by far the slowest in my opinion.

Even though the game has a level system in place, the most important thing for you to do is gain AP's (Attribute Points).

The more AP's you got, the more you can develop your character at the lower levels.

The way I did my progression in game (and you dont have to follow my route) is to do the crafting towns 1st.

Midway / South Burbs (get as many recipes books as you can. Recipes = Skill books and you get a bunch by doing missions). So you don't have to drop a time to learn a new special pertaining to your class.

Scavenge and Harvest your butt off and keep everything if possible (this will same you time on certain missions you will get in the future).

The leveling is slow in the beginning, since the game is so new to everyone, but once you get the jest of the game, you wont even pay intention to the level bar, because your to busy building your character with AP missions.

Just remember, the more AP's you get the better your character will be later on in the game (thats of course you spec you character right, also there is no RESPECS in game, so make your choices wisely and use the FE calculators).
