Seems that I have missed any info on the way WoW handles looking for groups. How is their system? I'm a big fan of grouping and having a refined search option. Since I've quit City of Heroes my buddy tells me they have instigated a killer searching for groups option. Thanks all for any imput you can help me with.

The game has an interface in which you can query all kind of information, players can be flagged as "looking for group" , "not looking" , or something about already beeing in a group if I remember correctly
If you type who, it brings up a list of everyone in a certain range from your level, including their class, level, and whether they are LFG or not.
you can do other stuff from the Social window, which is what comes up, when you do the /who. Like add friends, ignore, etc.
With the mentioned /who command you can find people by class, level, or name.
/who paladin 25-30
That command will bring up all paladins in any area, level 25 through 30.
/who Slazer
That command will bring up information about the character named Slazer, where he is, what class he is, and what level he is.
As mentioned before, also, you can open the Social window to find people flagged as "Looking for group" or "In group."
EDIT: I dont remember, but I think you can search by Race also.

not sure. I know you can search by guild name. I'll have to try race.
And PLENTY of chat channels. Finding a group won't be hard. Groups aren't a total nessesity. However aren't hard to find.
20x easier to find when in retail considering how many damn people theres gunna be in retail.

very true. The lower level zones are pretty sparse in beta, at least on the pvp server, compared to how they were in stress test. Once the game goes live, finding a group to roll with will be a nonissue, unless you develop a rep for being a tool or something.
This is true. If you are a dick to people it will spread quickly and no one will want to party with you. So unless you like that kinda thing, dont be a dick.
