Mentoring going live today

Mentoring

You can now right click on a group member to request that they mentor you. If they accept your request, their level will match yours and you will be able to adventure with them as if they were a normal player your level.

Players who are mentoring can only use abilities they were able to use at the level they’re mentored down to. If you cast an ability in a line that is higher level, it will automatically cast the highest level of that ability line you qualify for.

While mentoring another player, your stats will scale down. The reduction in stats scales with the difference between you and the person you’re mentoring.

Both players will gain experience as normal while mentoring.

You must be out of combat to begin or end a mentoring session.

If you leave the group of the person you’re mentoring, you’ll have 2 minutes to re-join them or the mentoring session will end.

Up to 5 players can mentor one person at once.

if the devs did a good job with this implementation, then it could be one of the most important changes in the game.  This will hopefully go a long way in fixing the population problem by allowng the bulk ot the players which are high level to group in the lower levels.

I two box and cant wait to try this out.

Oh, that could be a nice addition to the game.

Very handy if a friend decides to join in and you don't want to create another toon just to play the lower levels of the game with them.

It will be interesting to see how well it works in Vanguard.

Tried it yesterday and its pretty good.

The lower level can request a mentor in a group, you accept and off you go.

Your level is adjust but your a little more powerful than an equivulent character, plus if you raid, you gear will be top notch, even for that level.

If you leave a group, after 2 minutes, you revert back to your proper level.
